Reducing the dose of keflex

I was prescribed keflex 500mg 4 times a day for a week for a tooth infection but it makes me tired and feel funny can i reduce the dosages to 2 a day ## Hello, Nene! How are you? Alternatively, by lowering your dose, you create the risk of your developing antibiotic resistant bacteria. If you really don't like taking this one, the best thing to do ... ...

Active ingredients in gabapentin and neurontin
7 Replies RSS
gabapentin in a red capsule looks somewhat like a Keflex and also Neurontin in a yellow capsule enscribed Neurontin 300 I need the active ingredients ## Gabapentin is the active ingredient, it is the generic for Neurontin. ## I have taken gabapentin for about 18 or 20 months now. I took the orange capsule. When my pharmacist refilled it this time the yellow capsule was substituted. Two days after beginning the yellow capsule the muscles in my legs started hurting as they were doing before I started taking the medication. The neuropathy is causing my legs and feet to hurt. Long story short - the orange capsule worked, but the yellow has caused my old symptoms to return. My pharmicist with whom I talked was flippant and was not interested in helping me at all. ## Can I find an alternative... ...

Amoxicillin Clavulanic acid 875 mg for periocular cellulitis from a stye
1 Reply RSS
I have a bad stye on my lower eyelid and it is causing my eye to become red. Can I use Amoxicillin-Clavulanic acid 875mg for my eye? Last time I had this I had periocular cellulitis and I have the same symptoms. I was given Keflex, but I have a prescription for this medication. ## It may help, but you should not take it, unless your medical provider approves, because antibiotics should not be overused. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and diarrhea. Has any testing been done to see what's causing them? I used to get them, while married to my ex-husband, but I haven't gotten one in years. (I said this, so I will likely develop one soon. LOL) Anyway, I never thought to speak to my doctor and have them checked out. ...

Will this antibiotic be safe to take with all the medications i am currently taking??? Please someone help me. Thank you! ## @RedGirl, According to's drug interaction checker, the only interaction I found among those that were listed, was between Klonopin (Clonazepam) and Methadone. These precautions go on to note that taking the two together might increase your risk for certain serious side effects, including: lightheadedness, dizziness, an inability to concentrate, fainting spells, confusion, falling, and/or sleepiness. And if any of these should happen (god forbid), recommends calling your doct... ...
