Triamterene Hctz 37 5 25 Is This Drug Still Being Made
5 Replies RSS
I heard triamtere was no longer being made. is this so? I take triamterene 37.5/25 Is this still available. Works well for me. ## It works well for me too. My pharmacist just told me the same thing and I cannot find out why. ## There had been an unexplained shortage of this medication reported to the FDA and it was reported by all current manufacturers. They did estimate that it would start being available, again, by the end of April, but this seems not to have happened. The only thing that I can suggest would be talking to your doctor about using an alternative medication. One that is very similar is Aldactazide, which contains Spironolactone and Hydrochlorothiazide: Are there any other questions or comments? ## I have Bi-polar disorder and Major Depressive Disorder - Spironolactone do... ...

Fexofen/BKGCP pse Is The Generic Still Made
1 Reply RSS
Is the generic for Allegra D ( 60/120 mg) still made and is it a prescription medication? ## Hi Bud, The generic name for Allegra D is Fexofenadine + Pseudoephedrine; and from what I could gather, it is still manufactured, but only available with your doctor's prescription. I'm not sure why this is (being that Allegra D is now available OTC), so you'd probably have to contact your doctor for more details on that. I also found additional information stating that it may have already become an over-the-counter medication as of this year (I don't know however if this statement applies to the generic version or not, but I don't see why it wouldn't): "Allegra-D is a combination product containing fexofenadine and pseudoephedrine in strengths of 60/120mg and 180/240... ...

amiodarone a risky drug?
2 Replies RSS
I have recently started taking Amiodarone. Some of the comments here are worrisome, but were made several years ago. Is it safer now or still the same risks? ## Hello, Mary! How are you? Nothing has really changed about it. The FDA classifies it as an antiarrhyythic agent that's common used to treat cardiac dysrhythmias. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, interstitial lung disease, thyroid abnormalities, GI upset and elevated liver enzymes. What do you consider really risk and worrisome? Perhaps I can better help you if those are addressed. ## My father just died a few days ago as a direct result of taking Amiodarone... subutex half - yuck how long will this last

I have been on 3 to 4 norcos per day for about 1.5-2 years. 10/325 mg. I don't take them at work EVER. So at night to relax and on weekends/holidays. I recently ran out and my doc suggested I take subutex if I start feeling crappy until I get more. I wasn't feeling too bad but wanted to try it anyway. He told me to put a whole pill under my tongue. But being cautious, I only put 1/2 pill under my tongue (so 4 mg?). Holy cow. I was SO high, then I have been sleepy for hours. Took a nap and woke up still high. Made dinner and am hoping eating makes it go away. It's not, really. I took the pill at 2pm today. I have work at 8:30 am tomorrow - am I still going to feel like this in the morning?! I'm freaking out and really regretting this. *some side notes about me: I am heavy... ...

Is Reuomofan Plus same as Reumoquin N F made in mexico?
2 Replies RSS
Wanting to know the long term safety of a herbal pill made in Mexico Reuofan plus, heard it might be same as Rumoquin NF drug??? Any one been on reumofan plus long term ? side effects? ## To answer your first question regarding Reuomofan Plus being the same as Reumoquin NF, I think the link below addresses it spot on: As far as adverse effects go, Reumofan plus is reportedly still under research on its side effects. Since this is an herbal product, most of its components come directly from nature. However when it comes to natural forms of medicine, especially one that has so many ingredients, like this does, there haven't been enough long term studies to prove long term efficacy and safety. So far, there have been no complains on the tablets, but still i... ...

Need help finding either drug by mail or pharmacy? So, far only two drugs to help with chronic sinus infections. No local companies are pharmacy distributors carrying any longer? ## I have been told the manufacturer has quit producing this medication. I don't know what I will do as this is the only antihistamine that controlled my allergy symptoms. ## Have you tried asking your pharmacist to recommend a comparable medication with the same ingredients? The main one in these was Pseudoephedrine and while some companies have suffered slowing sales, due to the fact that in the US medications that contain it must be kept behind the counter, it is, however, still being made by some companies. My husband takes Accord simvastatin 40 but he has been told by Lloyds pharmacist that these are no longer available. Accord are the only ones that do not cause "cramping" in his legs. Have they been withdrawn or are they still available? The present ones he is using are TEVA ,made in Hungary, which cause a "hangover" type headache in the mornings. ## Hi Pamela, I'm having trouble finding any information in regards to Accord Simvastatin being withdrawn from the market. Maybe it just isn't available at that specific pharmacy, have you tried calling other pharmacies in the area to see if they carry it? Is Flexeril more effective than Parafon Forte?
4 Replies RSS
I had been taking Soma 350 for years because I have six crushed vertebra and recently my doctor changed to Parafon Forte 500. So far it's not as effective as the Soma was so I'm asking anyone if Flexeril would be better choice than the Parafon Forte. Thanks. ## It's my experience that Flexeril is better than PF (that's such an old drug, didn't know they still made that?) but nothing beats Soma. I've heard that docs are trying to get patients off Soma's because - besides being such a great street drug - IT FREAKING WORKS! Nah, that last bit was my rant. The Big Evil Three are (or used to be) Xanax, Soma, and hydrocodone. I was on those for years because they effing worked. My doc had no problems with me on those drugs but apparently the DEA did. Zenzedi (Brand) vs Actavis (Watson) generic amphet/salts IR

I just started immediate release amphetamine salts (Actavis, half-moon, #26) on tablet. 20 mg (3X daily). Reaction (allergy) unsure? Gastric bypass patients NEED IR. Is Zenzedi immediate release? And, what is the equivalent dosage to equal 60 mg amphetamine salts? My reaction left foot red, pain, stiff, swollen twice its size (for week and half). Since August when still being prescribed Vyvanse XR med lasted only four hours, and ought not to be taking because of Rouen GB procedure-- was I thought causing gout-like symptoms, but I also gained 60 pounds due to other sleep/anxiety meds-- gout made sense but occurred in both ankles and feet.
