My daughter and her boyfriend took my Methocarbamol. If it were abused, what could happen to them? ## Any medication can cause fatal reactions, if someone abuses it and takes too much, or if they are allergic to it, as explained in many NIH reports. Did they experience any adverse effects? How much did they take? This is a muscle relaxant and the FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth. Do they have any diagnosed medical conditions? Are they on any other medications? ## Is methocarbamol addictive? Would this drug be effective for restless leg syndrome? Being a person that has this condition, it disrupts my sleep....Please help.

The FDA classifies Methocarbamol as a muscle relaxant, so in theory it isn't addictive, but your body can get used to anything you take for a long period of time and may experience some minor withdrawal effects, if you stop taking it abruptly. The FDA lists the possible withdrawal effects as including nausea, headache, fever/chills, rebound pain and diarrhea.

My new doctor gave me 3 weeks to get off Zopiclone now she wants me off Tramadol. How long would this take? Is there something I can take that is similar but not addictive? She also wants me off Methocarbamol 1,500 mg every 4 hours. I am scared stiff to come off all of these meds so quickly. Thank you ## Hello, Gina! How are you? is this pill addicting? ## Methocarbamol is a muscle relaxant, so it is not straight out addictive and habit forming like a narcotic, or Benzodiazepine, but if someone abuses it, their body can still get used to having it and form a dependence.
