Hydromorphone Urine Test Opiates

I have been on a pain management program with the same doctor for a long time. My doctor is aware that I am an opiate addict. She prescribes me sixteen 15 mg oxycodone instant release tablets per day, which I ALWAYS take orally. My pain doc is aware that I like to take marijuana, but has recently had me sign a pain contract in which I agreed not to ingest any other substances, including marijuana, with the exception of the medication I am prescribed. My doc made it very clear that she would drop me as a patient altogether if I did not follow these rules. Until today, I was doing great abiding by these terms. However, I really messed up and took four 8mg hydromorphones about ten seconds before my phone rang with my doc's assistant on the other end of the line informing me that my doc... ...

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR HYDROMORPHONE OR DILADA TO GET OUT OF YOUR SYSTEM IF YOU HAD ONLY TAKEN ONE 8 MG TABLET ## Hydromorphone is the active ingredient in Dialudid and, like most other narcotics, it is detectable in a standard urine test for approximately 4 to 5 days, after last dosing. hydromorphone lab drug test
1 Reply RSS
If I took 1 dilaudid 4mg I.v. on a Friday can I pass a lab test that tests for metabolites on Monday? Haven't been using, so my system was clean. 6'1" 180 lbs. And need to know if 72 hours is long enough for that type of urine test.thanks ## I know this is a late post but wanted to inform you 72 hours is the usual time frame for opiates to pass out of ur system but with a drug test that's pushing it. Your height/weight give you an advantage assuming that's due to a high metabolism which will allow u to process toxins faster. Best way to pass a drug test is to drink lost of fluids the day of ur test and pee a 3-5 times before ur test. Drink a fluid with color so ur urine isn't clear which will be a red flag. Its pointless to drink alot sooner than a couple hours b... ...

Snorting Hydromorphone 8mg?
2 Replies RSS
i never really take prescription pills but i wanna try this one. all i really ever do is smoke weed. i heard that popping it won't do s***, but i don't wanna get a bad vibe if i snort 8mg. since i don't have any tolerance, is 8mg too much to take? ## It isn't safe to try to snort any pills. They are not intended to be used in such a manner, so on top of the risk of overdose, you may also be inhaling substances that could create blockages in your sinuses and/or lungs. Such blockages in your lungs could cause respiratory arrest. Learn more Hydromorphone details here. And yes, the 8mgs is a very strong dose. I was on pain management for years and quite used to opiates, but a 4mg dose of Hydromorphone did me in, when they gave it to me in the hospital. I'm very glad they... ...

can you take hydromorphone with tylenol 3
4 Replies RSS
Can I take Tylenol 3 with hydromorphone if I am still in pain? ## Hello, Brenda! How are you? Tylenol 3 contains Codeine and Acetaminophen, so it would best not to mix these medications, unless your doctor approves. It could create the risk of overdose, especially in someone that isn't opiate tolerant. The FDA classiness this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Yes you can take the Tylenol 3 with hydromorphone. I used too be prescribed four 8mg hydromorphone and four Percocet tens a day. Its perfectly safe just dont drive until you know how it affects you! ## Thank all u guys for replying to my question ... ...

Hydromorphone vs Oxycodone on test
2 Replies RSS
Will the pain management clinic be able to tell from the drug test if I have been taking oxycodone instead of or on top of my hydromorphone? ## Yes they can test for different substances. One will show up in the morphine category and the other in what they call morphine under. So if they are a pain clinic they normally separate the substances in their urine screening. As regular drug tests 5, 7, panel (different tests), only show opiates. But you can buy drug tests at the pharmacy and even some of these separate substances. They also test for the metabolites in tests, meaning the chemical digested shows up different then just the substance itself. ## I had A TON of coke on Saturday and then was tested at my pain management clinic on Wednesday. Do you think the metabolite will still be i... ...

Low dose Hydromorphone withdrawals
3 Replies RSS
Hello, first post here, I'm a 19 year old male, I've been doing opiates for a little over two years now, by illegitimate ways, I do have a herniated disc (L4-L5) and a pinched nerve root in my left leg, over the course of the two years I have gone up and down in dosages, ranging from 30mgs a day to now 4-12mgs a day. I have been snorting the medication though. I'm at a point in my life where I want to leave this problem behind and move on with my life, but for some reason there is something holding me back from accomplishing it. My withdrawals are minimal at most, minor discomfort, foggy head and teary eyes, I mostly have problems with the mental aspect of it. I have always had issues with my mood, and opiates seemed to help regulate it, and its been so long since Ive been s... ...

First time user of hydromorphone 4mg

I have been on hydrocodone for years. Never really helped with my pain. I injured my back several years ago. I just recently was prescribed hydromorphone 4 mg for chronic pain. Just wanted to know if anyone has experience with it. And what can I expect as far as side effects. Any comments would be appreciated. ## The FDA and NIH lists its typical side effects to being similar to those of other opiates, such as the Hydrocodone, so they may include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, depression, and constipation. Are you on any other medications? Generally, when they gave it to me in the hospital, I experienced a lot of vomiting. ...

So Today I Took 2 Hydromorphone Dilauded
1 Reply RSS
So today i took 2 hydromorphone dilauded and a couple hours later took 2 vicodin. Now my mouth tastes very nasty. Is this from the medication? Or is something wrong with my teeth? Food doesnt even taste good ## Unfortunately, I really can't answer these questions from just the limited information in your post. The Hydromorphone in the Dilaudid and the Hydrocodone in the Vicodin are both narcotic opiates and they can cause dry mouth as a side effect, so that may be contributing to the problem. For your mouth to be properly cleansed and to enable you to properly taste your food, you do need a normal flow of saliva. Learn more saliva details here. How long and how often do you take medications like this? Because there is a possibility that the same dry mouth they've caused may have... ...

Switching from Percocet to Hydromorphone
2 Replies RSS
I was prescribed 8 mg of ER Hydromorphone today in place of Percocet 10/325 3x a day. I hope it works without making me sleepy or tired. I'm scared, but need to find one medication instead of so many Percocet. What is your take on how these two medications compare with one another? ## Each 10mgs of Oxycodone is equivalent to 3.75mgs of Hydromorphone, so it is stronger and may work better for you. However, all narcotic opiates could cause drowsiness, and fatigue as side effects, according to FDA reports, you may also experience nausea, dizziness, and constipation. Have you started taking it, yet? If so, how is it working for you? ## Can you take 6 mg of diladad safetly with 20 mg of oxycontin three times a day ...

i am prescribed dilaudid for pain. well, they just gave me 2 drug tests and its not showing up. first was urine, then second was blood. nothing. now it looks like im banned from the practice. ive been taking them everyday for around 9 months. there is NO WAY in hell this is possible. so ive been doing some research and here is what ive gathered: a normal test for opiates will not reveal dilaidid/hydromorphone. they have to test specifically for the metabolite for dil/hyd.. is this correct? can anyone give me any info on what is going on here? this is crazy and like i said, ive taken these for 9 months religiously, so something is wrong. ## Bubby, Sorry to hear of your issues but dilaudid is a synthetic opiate so it Will test positive in standard urine screens. Can Norco 7.5/325 and Morphine Sulfate ER 15mg show up as Hydromorphone
7 Replies RSS
I take Norco 7.5/325mg and Morphine Sulfate 15mg E tab. When my pain management doctor has given me a urine drug test, it has shown up as Hydromorphone/Dilaudid. Is it possible when the two are taken at the same time it might show up as Hydromorphone/Dilaudid in the urine drug test since the two are mixed together? ## It is actually probably due to the test itself. The cheaper, non-certified tests that most doctors use are known to give false positives anywhere from 4 to 50% of the time. Semi-synthetic and synthetic opiates are well know to give false positives on them for other synthetic or semi-synthetic opiates. Have you discussed it with your doctor? ## Hydrocodone (Norco, Vicodin, etc.) is metabolized by the liver and changed into hydromorphone. Dilaudid is the generic form of hydr... ...

Subutex after opiates

How long do I have to wait to take subutex after opiates, as i've heard you will withdrawal if you still have opiates in your system? ## That is correct, you must be in full withdrawal, before you take this medication, otherwise it can throw you into dangerous precipitated withdrawals. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Drug test, Opiates, Tylenol 4 with Codeine

Hello, I have recently found myself in a situation. I am working extremely hard to prove my pain management office differently. Please any help will be greatly appreciated. does dilaudid show up as opiates on a drugtest?

so she couldnt find the hydros and found a 30 mg oxycodone and did two using iv. than the next day did two hydros 8's using the same method as before. she also had not been using the oxycodone bc she had the hydros and only used the 30's bc that is all she could find. she went and bought a home drug test the kind in the cup that you turn on it's side. and it showed up positive for oxycodone and positive for opiates. it's understandable why the oxy showed up but why would it show positive for opi? all she did that week was suboxene oxycodone and hydromorphine. also she did some reseaarch and it said that dilaudid does show up as an opiaite so this is very confusing. ## Usually a home urine drug test is not going to show dilaudid (hydromorphone).
