Severe depression taking 4 mg of clonazepam with 60 mg of Cymbalta. Also, having had 5 spinal fusions (4 posterior, one anterior), taking 3 to 4 hydrocodone 500 7500 per day. I get very depressed and suicidal. Is this a bad combination? ## It sounds like it's a bad combination for you! Have you discussed it with your doctor? Cymbalta contains the active ingredient Duloxetine, it's an SNRI antidepressant and the Clonazepam is a Benzodiazepine and both of them can backfire, in some people, and have the opposite effect of what they are supposed to do. On top of that, you're adding the narcotic Hydrocodone, which can definitely have depressant effects.

I'm nervous about taking it. ## If you have taken other narcotics, then you will feel the same effects, though Morphine is very strong.
