Hi I was a week late with my lanreotide injection last month do I take this months on the date I should normally take it or do I take it a week late to make it the 4 weeks cycle? Many thanks Barbara ## Hi Barbara, From what I could gather, Lanreotide is usually given every 4 weeks for 3 months at a time. However, the prescribing packet for this drug notes that you should "contact your doctor for instructions if you miss an appointment for your lanreotide injection." So at this point it is now in your doctor's power to decided whether or not he should alter your dose of Somatuline Depot or the length of time in-between injections, based on his judgement towards your response to therapy. Have you not already discussed this with your doctor?

Within hours of first injection had a feeling of weakness and some stomach cramps. Next day, severe stomach cramps, large amount of gas and very loose stools. Now at day 4 and continue with some stomach cramps and gas and loose stools, Developed a low level headache since day 2, Advil helps. ## It's been 8 days since my first injection of Somatuline Depot. Stomach cramps are largely abated, continue to have loose stools. I am not comfortable being too far from a toilet, sudden loose bowel discharge continues to be a problem. a few times I have not been able to get to a toilet in time. Have lost approximately 5 lbs (245 to 240) so not all is bad. Beginning to wonder if side affects are worth the results. ## Somatuline Depot contains the active ingredient Lanreotide, it is most common...

I live in California North bay ## I'm sorry, but we have no way of knowing what any doctor will, or will not prescribe. Soma contains the active ingredient Carisoprodol, which is a muscle relaxant, but some people do abuse it and doctors may be reluctant to prescribe it. She has dependancy problency befe & her Des. Don't know this. A Worried Faily ## Not long ago i had a surgery and was given dilaudin. It interfered with some of my other medications (an antidepressant, moodstabilizer, antianxiety...) and I almost died. My blood pressure dropped dangerously low, my oxygen levels plummeted, and they had to call a code blue. Fortunately I had a nurse who acted quickly and gave me an injection of something that neutralized the dilaudin and they did not have to rescusitate me. This may sound strange. I have been fighting middle back pain for 5 yrs. I see a pain mgmt. dr. and we have gotten all the way to Fentanyl patches. I take 175 Mcgm hrs. Nothing has helped. I have had Nuclear bone scans, Multiple MRI's, Nuerologists, Rhumotologists, EMG's Chiropractors, Been on Vicodin, Soma, Lyrica, Spinal Injections, Nerve blocks, Facet joint blocks, You name it!!! I saw a new nuerologist, and he wanted new MRI's with contrast this time. I told him that if it had to be closed MRI, then I would need sedation, cause I am chlostrophobic. So I did 3 MRI's with contrast, on 3 successive days. Upper, Middle, and then lower. They sedated me with a 10mg Valium each day before the MRI's. All of the sudden, after 5 yrs of nothing but pain in my middle back. I...

Hi everyone, I'm gonna make this short and sweet. I had lower back issues, then I had surgery and now the pain is worse. I need a MD/PA that will help me with pain and prescribe Norco, Xanax, and Soma. If you know any in Houston and surrounding areas, please respond. ## Those are 3 drugs which are very hard to obtain. Why not look into a pain clinic in the area? ## That's where the long story comes in. I have been to 3 pain management specialist. All required physical therapy, epidural corticosteroid injection, facet injections and two of the the 3 required rhizotomy. Not to mention all the x -rays/ MRIs and diagnostics that I have taken so many times. Then you have to wait for the doctors schedule to get relief. All that being said here is one example: I went in to one doctor w...

I had gastric bypass in 2010 and am considered a rapid metabolizer for opiates. I have 5 herniated discs in my lower back and nerve disease and stay in constant pain. I have been to 9 pain management docs bc no one wants to take on my case and is scared to prescribed the amounts of medication I need to get through the day. I have tried physical therapy, injections and acupuncture all to no avail. I have a great doc now who is at least trying to help me and currently has me on dilaudid, soma, Lyrica, and suboxone patches most are three and six times daily. I have 5 children and that allows me to function daily with less pain than without. With the metabolizing issue I have no side effects or withdrawal symptoms when taken off, only with the soma I had to cut down to 1/2 of 350 mg 3 times...

will injecting somas help relieve pain faster than by taking it orally.?? sever lower bck pain need relief fast ..any advice ## No, Somas are not pain pills, they are muscle relaxers. The pill has fillers in it which could clog up your arteries and cause you to have a stroke or somehting horrible along those lines. ## Inject Soma and your pain will soon go away after DEATH takes over ## Hey, not a Doc, but have spent last 16 yrs. doing research of my own as I have an extremely rare cancer related to a dysfunctional gene in my family's DNA- Terminal now, but involves 'head to toe'. I have taken Soma on/off for many yrs, though dose has not increased. it is really a fairly mild form of muscle relaxant, not a pain mgmt. drug. It can be highly addictive~and if you are talking ab...

My son's mother has been addicted to almost every drug i know at some point. First it was cocaine, then vicadins, then somas and norcals, then she started taking dilaudids, a few days ago i caught her cooking them on a spoon and injecting them. She has fused disk in her spine so the doctor prescribes her 90 somas and 90 norcals per month. These drugs make her very drowsy due to her taking to many. So sells these and buys her dilaudid off the streets. I have tryed everything short of rehab to try and get her to stop using, she says her fused disk is a legitmate reason to take this drug, but she take more then the prescribed amount. I believe she just wants to get high. Now she is shooting the drug like a shot, I feel helpless and do not know what to do. A couple of days ago I did not ...

350mg is alot and the pill is designed to slowly realse the drug over a period of. Evveryone knows if you pop a couple somea go into the "soma coma" aka just fkd up kinda like benzos..pretty sloppy but yet pleasurable. The bioavalibty orally for soma is low...so if you get fkd from just swallowing one, you should defffinitly be good jagging it..i read in a diff post a guys freind slammed the whole 350 and ended up in the hospitlal.. so be safe and start out with a quarter. maybe 85-90mg....1)crush 2) water 3)cotton 4)draw it **saftey first** ## You' gotta gook it.. otherwise you can get real sick.. ## I was advised that cooking(gook?) Hey swim was wonder how some could inject a 350mg soma pill. And they way to go about it. Swims friend wants to try it and swim really need to know if its ok.. ## Soma contains the active ingredient Carisoprodol, which is a muscle relaxant, not a narcotic, so I am not sure what the point of shooting it up would be, it does not get you high. In addition, trying to break down and inject any medication that is not intended to be used this way can be very dangerous. Tablets contain fillers and not all of them are meant to be broken down by the human body, they are normally just expelled in our waste. When you inject it, you are putting these substances into your body in a manner in which it cannot dispose of them. This creates the very real risk of blockages, which could result in stroke or...

I had a bad pain in my back and the doctor gave me carisoprodol for pain. It worked good but I am seeing that my penis is getting thicker. Is that normal? ## Yes this is true taking Soma has made my penis much more thicker much more fatter and hang much more longer when not erect. P.S. I do not get erections since I have Ed, but being on Soma is being very strange that I'm getting erections and the doctors can't figure out what nerve in my back and the car accident had the first place that gave me ed. Now if you can find this with trimix which is an injectable erection medicine and mixing it with Soma well let's put it this way you get a penis that looks like a Goodyear blimp because it's so fat, excuse me big, and sometimes or most times you can ejaculate and I feel som...
