Not sure if this was asked but whats the difference between IG 213 and xanax? ## Hi Mimi, The pill you're describing marked IG 213, contains 50mgs of Sertraline hydrochloride. The main difference I see here is that Sertraline is classified as a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI). This type of medication is supposed to work by increasing the amount of serotonin in your brain, in order to help maintain an even mental balance. Alprazolam (Xanax) on the other hand, is classified as a benzodiazepine, which is said to work by decreasing abnormal excitement in the brain. Even though both meds are in different drug classes, I have also heard of people using anxiety and depression meds interchangeably for either type of case. I guess it all comes down to what you and your doctor d... ...

I am on this medication and it has ig 213 on it and my doctor told me that it was the Xanax but it's not working like one. Can someone please explain to me what it is. ## Hello, SusieQ! How are you? This tablet is manufactured by Camber Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 50mgs of Sertraline, which is an SSRI antidepressant that is also used to treat anxiety. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight gain. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Very dangerous for your doctor to tell you what was prescribed was Xanax when it was a lie. I would consider a new Doctor ...

The blue, oval tablet with the marking IG 213 is manufactured by Camber Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 50mgs of Sertraline, which is an SSRI antidepressant. So, it is not a Xanax, nor is it a related medication in the same class and it does not work the same. No way should this pill be labeled as xanax. My mom was put on these ig 213 and has taken xanax for years. Trust me when i say she was not the same person on this drug. The fda and dea and any body else should not label the ig 213 as a form of xanax. Not saying the ig 213 wont work for some people, but those who've taken valium and xanax sure know what im talking about. ## Yes Robert you have a problem as Pill imprint I G 213 has been identified as Sertraline hydrochloride 50 mg. This is NOT Xanax ## Eddy is correct! Sertraline is an SSRI antidepressant, that can also be used to treat anxiety, but it does not work like Xanax. I still have an old bottle of these around the house, somewhere, from when I started dealing with perimenopausal anxiety and tried it, to see if it would help.... ...

Can i know all the colors of a xanax and there millgrams ## The oval blue pill in description is Sertraline Hcl (50 mg). The correct marking is found to be "IG" 213 as opposed to "LG" 213. Sertraline is an antidepressant primarily used to treat major depression, obsessive compulsive, panic, and social anxiety disorders. For more information about this drug, please refer to the link below... As far as xanax pills go, the way a pill looks is entirely up to the whit and whim of the company making it, so pill colors can change overnight and we wouldn't necessarily know it, unless you're looking for a specific brand and dosage. I've personally seen xanax pills (non generic) range in doses from 0.5mg to 3mg, and everything in between that. Does anyone else have inf... ...
