My doctor told me to stop taking Plaquenil until she found the reason for my low white blood count. I've been off of it for about five days now. This is not a blood thinner, the FDA lists it as being used to treat malaria and rheumatoid arthritis. I was given Hydroxychloriquinine when I was on Warfrin are these drugs ok to take together ## Hi Redken, Based on my research there are no drug interactions found between Warfarin and Hydroxychloroquine. This does not necessarily mean no interactions exist, but my sources state that every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is accurate. There are however a handful of interactions found between Warfarin and various foods. It's a wealth of information, so I hope you're able to discuss this with your doctor if need be: "Vitamin K may antagonize the hypoprothrombinemic effect of oral anticoagulants. Vitamin K is a cofactor in the synthesis of blood clotting factors that are inhibited by oral anticoagulants, thus intake of vitamin K through supplements or...

Can I take ardosons when I take methotrexate and hydroxychloroquine for my arthritis and sciatica nerve? ## Can I take one day ardosons and one day hydroxicloroquine ## Ardoson is listed as containing Indomethacin and Methocarbamol, the first is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, and the second is a muscle relaxant. You should not take it, unless your doctor has instructed you to do so, since it could interact with some medications, or be contraindicated with some medical conditions. Are those the only other medications that you are taking?

I requested 60 pills from Humana. My pharmacy said it would cost me $90... The last time it cost me $18. Why? ## Pharmaceutical prices change, just like the prices on any other product. It's really a matter of supply and demand, there have been changes in the price of many pharmaceuticals, recently. My mother-in-law has to use 2 inhalers regularly, to prevent asthma and breathing issues, one of them has stayed the same price, while the other has gone up from $45 to over $200. The FDA allows a good bit of pricing leeway, while some companies try to keep their prices down, not all of them do. It is a sad state of affairs, which I fear may only get worse over the next few years. I wish I had some way to help you, but unfortunately, I don't. Have you tried asking your doctor if they...

Can you help me with this please? ## Hi Larry, Sorry to hear about your situation. Do you happen to know what imprint is on your hydroxychloroquine pill and/or who the manufacturer is? Presently I am taking Hydralazine, Carvedilol, and Hydroxychloroquine. Am I being over medicated and what are the side effects? ## HCQ May cause cardiac arrhythmia with this combo and the other two together increase risk of severe hypotension. ## Thanks, I get short of breath retaining fluids. I didn’t have a problem until I began taking Carvedilol. I have asked to be taken off but my primary physician won’t, ## Well it’s your body. If I listened to my doctor every time he says take this and that, I’d be a mess. I have RA and I eat a plant and fruit based diet, smoothies. Organic. Take vitamin C, D3 and give it to God. Now not everyone can do this. I’ve been offered HCQ and other meds but I feel that food cures the body. How did the Israelites live to be 15...
