The Watson yellow 853 Hydrocodone are stronger than the white ones. As each of you know taken these neither are really strong compared to other types of pain pills. I have Fibro, along with so much more. I have a MVP heart problem so if these pills were strong I could not take them,. Some days I Can hardly move. Since the FDA has past that new law my Doctor is now sending me to a pain clinic. Maybe shots will help or what ever takes place at a pain clinic. ## Hello, Bab! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain. The effect these pills have really depends on the person, since we are all different. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. The strength a...

I have taken hydrocodone 5/325 for knee pain as needed for about 9months, while waiting to move to a different city. I finally made the move in mid December, and had total knee replacement on Feb. 4. After having morphine and a shot block to that leg, pain in the hospital was manageable. Upon discharge, I was given a prescription for Oxycodone. These worked fine so long as I took two. (rx said " 1-2 tablets"). When these were gone, the doctor replaced them with hydrocodone 7.5/325. These just dont work. To get any relief, I have to take extra Tylenol with them, and then I only get relief for about 3 hours, not 6. Is there an alternative pain med I could ask for? I know he is concerned about my getting addicted, but I didn't get addicted in the 9months because I only took the...

I pulled my back out two weeks ago. My doctor gave me a shot of decadron (steroid) and Valium. I only took 2.5 mg of Valium twice (I don't like taking things I'm unsure of) and it didn't get better all. If I took the last 2.5 mg 12 hours ago is it safe to take 5 mg of hydrocodone? It doesn't appear to interact with my steroid shot but wanted to be sure. ## Hello, IndianaGuy! How are you? I didn't find any interactions or problems listed between the Decadron and Norco, but you should always double check such information with your doctor or pharmacist. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I had a spinal during csection it didn't go well and my back is in constant pain it's so bad I cry myself to sleep ## The best thing to do is go to you primary care Dr or obgyn. Let him know what is going on with you ask him if he can write you a prescription for pain order x-rays, mri's , c-t scan and refer you to a pain clinic. How long has it been since your csection? If not long and you are in that much pain I would consider ER. Seeing it is saturday so they can rule out any injury to bones, spinal cord , or nerves . Also they will help u with pain meds for a few days. Can't say for sure if it will be hydrocodone but if the pain is that bad they will give you a pain shot or pain pill so you have relief before you leave.

I started on prednisone for extreme knee and hip pain. Can't sleep. No relief yet. Can I take hydrocodone? I took Tylenol several hours ago with no relief from that either. ## I was put on Celebrex, 200 mg, for severe hip pain and arthritis. Can't mix Advil (only Tylenol) which does nothing for me. Tried cutting a 5/300 Vicodin in half and that sure helped take the edge off. Am going to discuss further with my neuromuscularskeletal doctor. Trying to avoid an epidural shot and surgery. I have been diagnosed with spinal stenosis and scoliosis, along with arthritis. ## Thank You very much for sharing your challenge with me. It definitely helped me. I decided to break one of the 7.50 hydrocodones in half (i know naproxen is a no-np). I took half and within 10 minutes I felt NO pain....

I have Ankylosing Spondylitis. Got Cortisone shots in my lumbar region and Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen 5-500 tb and Tramadol ER 200 mg from my rheumatologist. What is the Tramadol for? I'm starting a new job tomorrow and am not sure if I should take it until I know how they may effect me. Should I wait until this weekend to start? ## Hi Wendy, Tramadol is most commonly used for treating moderate to moderately severe pain, but has a wide range of other applications, including treatment for restless leg syndrome, acid reflux, and fibermyosis. If you're starting a new job of any kind, I would probably suggest waiting till you get off work to experiment with how these medications really affect you deep down. This way you can at least be more comfortable going into work knowing whether...

I had a spinal fusion on Nov 8, 2016... 6 week checkup w/ PA on Dec 20th... Trochanteric Bursitis... Shots given in each hip... She had renewed my prescription of Hydrocodone 7.5/325 before seeing me... I was in horrible pain, told her I couldn't believe she'd switched medication strength prior to seeing me, so she prescribed original Hydrocodone 10/325 and Naproxen 500mg 2x daily... Approx. day 4, "Ah! Relief everywhere I swear! So... I put away the Hydro 10's (40 remained) and stepped down to the 7.5's." I was taking 2 every 6 hours, at one particular dose about an hour and a half later, "Woohoo!" At this point, I took the pills down to 1 every 6 hours, comfortable, able to continue my PT... My rheumatologist recently administered cortisone shots in my lumbar region and also prescribed Acetaminophen-Hydrocodone 500-5 tablets along with Tramadol ER 200mg for my ankylosing spondylitis. Can anyone tell me what the Tramadol is for? I start a new job tomorrow and am reluctant to take either of these medications since i don't know how they will affect me. Should i wait until the weekend to start? ## The Tramadol is also an analgesic. Learn more Tramadol details here. And yes, I'd be very reluctant to start them at the same time as starting a new job, just to be on the safe side. I supposed you could try during your off hours, such as at night to see how they affect you, but you should be cautious, especially if you are sensitive to medications. I am and Tramadol caused me...

I have a bugling disc for which I am taking fentanyl 25mcg and hydrocodone, but I am still in a great deal of pain that makes me cry. The pain is in my leg and thigh. I have had one series of 3 shots in my back with no relief. Would robaxin help? The pain is so bad. ## Robaxin contains the active ingredient Methocarbamol, it is a muscle relaxant, so it's really only going to help with pain that's due to muscle spasms, or strains. Has your doctor advised you to use it? ## Does robaxin 750mg have anti-inflammatory properties? Is it equivalent to prednisone 10mg?

I am taking Hydrocodone/APAP10 mg8/325mg (8 a day) muscle relaxers, Topamax for headaches and Prozac after breaking my neck at an accident at work. I had surgery and a metal plate was put in, and I was very lucky. I still have the pain, I am in pain management and have tried shots epidurals etc. and they are all short lived. I am grateful I can still walk and be mobile. Is there any chance I might find some relief some time? I feel greedy asking this since my problem is really of so little consequence when others are suffering with really catastrophic illnesses. Thank you, Loretta ## Thank you for your help! Hi I am trying to find a doctor in the Rochester, NY area that will prescribe hydrocodone or oxycodone. I am even willing to travel to Buffalo area, that is how hard it is to find a doctor that just doesn't want to give you a bunch of shots that don't work. I have been on opiates for 15 years. I just recently left my pain doctor that was prescribing me fentanyl. I asked to be switched to something not as strong and an oral medication. I hated the patches. She refused and wrote me for a month and told me to find a different doctor. Now I am in a pain management setting that will only do inj's., I just want to be pain free and be able to play with my daughter again. I feel horrible when she asks when my back is going to be fixed. She is only 5 so she doesn't understand. I ...

What is stronger 2 Tylenol 4 pills or Norco 5-325 I got shot 5x's and stabbed 3 I'm in pain like a Mayne they had me on the Tylenol 4 but they switched it to Norco 5-325 and it doesn't seem to help so this is why I'm asking I don't like taking pills but right now I need something for this pain . ## The 2 Tylenol 4 would be stronger than one Norco, although overall, the Hydrocodone is stronger, so this would not apply if you were comparing them one to one. The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Which one has your doctor advised you to take?

does anyone know the ingrediants...for Marys magic potion...label on bottle ... Tetracy/Hydroc/Nystat/diphenhi... please help ## Based on the abbreviated ingredients which you listed I am going to take a shot at it: Tetracy = Tetracycline Hydroc = Hydrocodone ** Hydrocortisone Nystat = Nystatin Diphenhi = Diphenhydramine Those are my guesses, I may be mistaken, but hope this helps! There is also a related discussion thread about this located at: Do you have any other questions or information to add? I was given a Genelex mouth swab test to see how my body reacted to different medication and which one was better for my makeup and it showed that I did not react well 2 hydrocodone or morphine, that the top painkillers did not work for me so I don't know what to use for pain medication. I have chronic pain and severe pain. What would you suggest? Steroid shots do not work either.

mfg rho as a pain killer about useless norco works much better cost less that 10/325 of hydrocodone apap tabs by watson labs generic. ## Are you saying the Morphine didn't work for you? It is normal for some people to respond better to one medication, than another. That is why they are usually quite a few options in any medication category. ## That what I,m saying it don't work for me. I got something off the net that works very well called painazol. Not a drug homeopatic I thought I waste my money but it works! Ihave a spine full of arthrtis plus three bad L's. I get hot shot in the lower back and the hydrocode now I can walk without pain for the frist time in years with this combo. walk not much else , but that all good

spinal stenosis and pyriformus syndrome ## Lortab contains Acetaminophen and the narcotic Hydrocodone. However, there are no manufactured tablets on the market that have more than 10mgs of the Hydrocodone in them. If a doctor orders it, some pharmacies will specially compound capsules that contain more, but they are hard to find and very expensive. It can cause side effects such as: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. would hydrocodone 5/aceaminophen 500 mg tabs be good for a tension headache? If the bottle is sealed and the expiration date was April 8, 2008 would it probably still be a good pain reliever for a headache? ## Hi Ann, When it comes to drugs and medication I believe it is best to not take any chances with the past expiration date. They may still be ok to take given the sealed bottle, however I am not a pharmacist or MD, so I cannot say if it is safe for you to consume. I would recommend contacting your local pharmacy or doctor to assess if the quality of the drug still remains. If you have any more questions or comments to add, then please post back so I can further assist you. ## As stupid as it sounds I take in some caffeine and a big shot of pickle juice.
