One of the primary factors that doesn't seem to be well known to the public, is that the FDA allows active ingredients in generic meds to vary by as much as 25% from the actual listed dosage. This could potentially mean that a 5mg hydrocodone may actually turn out to be 3 to 7 mgs depending on the manufacturer. Aside from that, subtle differences in the "inactive" ingredients (binders/fillers) could also impact the absorption/overall efficacy of the medication. 5/300 is 1/3 the price of 5/325 of hydrocodone acetaminophen at the pharmacy. Does the pain relief compare and is it worth the difference in price? My child was prescribed hydrocodone-apap 7.5-500 soln in an orange liquid. Also on the main bottle with the label that says Cephalexin for Oral Suspension, USP (250 mg/5ml) 100 ml when mixed. No, you should not take a medication containing Hydrocodone or any other opioids with your Fentanyl patch, as they could result in an overdose. my husband was givin reprexain 10-200 mg one every 6 hours but he is still hurting bad can he take 2 at a time ## Has he consulted his doctor about it? This contains Hydrocodone and Ibuprofen and the maximum dose of Hydrocodone that's usually given at oce is just the 10mgs, it is very potent narcotic, so I wouldn't suggest increasing the dosage, without a doctor's approval. ## Your husband can absolutely take 2 at a time I don't know why people are saying not to. I am 215lbs and I sometimes take 3 at once when I'm in a lot of pain. What you need to be most mindful of is how much acetiminphen he is taking per day. Keep that under 2500mg and he will be fine and feeling great!

The Oxycodone is stronger, you only need 3.33mgs of it to be equivalent to each 5mgs of the Hydrocodone. I have been on Hydrocodone since 2002. Along the way a fentyl patch was added to help with being ill in between doses. Currently on 25 fentyl and 50 mg Hydrocodone per day. Dr told me at last visit that there office was no longer going to prescribe immediate release meds like Hydrocodone. Cut me down to 30 hydro per day but no other adjustments. Planning to go down to one at next visit. Not sure what to do when even pain mgmt doc stops ordering. They actually said with a straight face that these meds were never meant to be taken day after day, month after month, etc. shouldn't they have told me that back in 2002? I'm not sure what DiCod301 and who manufactures it. Any info would be appreciated. ## These green and yellow capsules came from a company in South Afiica loose in a small heat sealed plastic bag. A printout was included saying DiCod301 including ingredience as stated and its uses A white and light brown powder was in the capsule. ## It is very hard to say with any certainty, since foreign medications are not regulated like those approved for use and sale in the US.
