What is stronger and how do these 2 drugs compare.....10/325 hydrocodone vs. tramadol 50 mg ## You really can't compare them, since they aren't in the same drug classes. The Hydrocodone in the Vicodin/Lortab is a potent narcotic analgesic. But the Tramadol is just a centrally acting analgesic, though it is derived from an opiate, it is nowhere near as strong and effective as the opiate narcotic class. Both can be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. You can learn more Vicodin details here and you can learn more Tramadol details here. Which one has been prescribed for you? ...

I would like to order. I need prices. ## Hello, Dine! How are you? This site does not manufacture, prescribe nor sell any medications, it is an information only resource. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Thus, it is a controlled substance that also requires regular visits to your doctor. Is there anything else I can help with? ...

How often can you take Hydrocodone 5-325 ## Hello, Sky! How are you? It should be taken as prescribed by your doctor. Generally, no more than every 6 hours, so 4 a day, but many doctors prefer to prescribe it to be taken every 8 hours, for 3 times a day. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Take it as your MD says, but you can have it every 4 hours. The MD can increase the amount of hydrocodone in it. It's the acetaminophen they worry about. There is also a 10-300 out which is less acetaminophen and more pain relief if you REALLY need it. Most MDs will not Rx this now. You have to ... ...

Had a tooth extracted took two 500mg of Tylenol can I take a 5 325 Vicodin three hours later ## Yep drink water ## Hi Mark! You just need to be careful of the amount of Tylenol ( acetaminophen) you take. It gives you instructions on the Tylenol bottle as to how much you can take. Remember that the Vicodin has 325 mgs in it too, from what you said. ## If you take more than 650 mg of tylenol, you have to wait at least 6 hrs before taking any more tylenol, that includes the Vicodin. Do not take more than 1,000 tylenol every 6 hrs or more than 4,000 tylenol is a 24 hr period. ...

Is this pill 5 mg or 10mg? And what does the 3604 stand for? ## Hello, Doc! How are you? The white, oblong tablet with the red specks that has the marking 3604 V on it contains 5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. And according to law, all manufactured prescription tablets must have unique markings to enable their identification, in case of an emergency, so any given pill can be traced by to a specific manufacturer. That's what the 3604 V is, it's just the code that Vintage/Qualitest has chosen to use on this pill to identify it as their product. Is there anything else I can help with? ...

Is it, in fact, 10/325??? ## i ran out of mu usuall watson big like oval bklue tens and i got this through a buddy.. is it in fact the same thing?? i dont want to take it if not ## Yes, this tablet is Hydrocodone 10mgs and Acetaminophen 325mgs. However, if you are running out early, then apparently your pain is not in control and rather than getting meds illegally from someone else, you should see your doctor to see what you can do to better treat your condition. ## I too have always taken the blue pill which is lortab 10/500..and recently I had to go to a different pharmacy and they gave me a white tablet..and it say M363 on one side the other is plain..they said it is the same as the ... ...

A light yellow oblong shaped tablet imprinted with 36 01 on the front and V on th back. ## T have been taking hydrocod/apap 5/500 and have been changed to hydroc/apap 10/325. whichy is stronger? ## is this pill hydroco/apap ? it has M357 on it ## In regards to the original question, yes the tablet with the 3601 V contains 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen and is roughly equivalent to what you were taking. The dosage of the narcotic has been raised, while the Acetaminophen has been lowered, to help protect you from the damage that long term use of higher doses of it can cause, such as liver failure. It may even be a little stronger for you and help your pain more, depending on how sensitive you are to the narcotic. You can learn more Vicodin details here. And yes, the tabl... ...

Is hydrocodone apap 10 325 safe to take if I am allergic to codeine ? ## That's actually a good question, because Hydrocodone is a derivative of codeine. However my mom is allergic to codeine as well and she's on the same dose of Hydrocodone apap (10/325) right now and hasn't had any bad reactions other than the typical itching sensation that is sometimes associated with this combination. She was also initially worried about an allergic reaction but hasn't experienced one. With codeine she would break out in hives and whatnot. So I can only base my answer off of her experience, in that it should be fine since it's a derivative of codeine and not actual codeine. I hope this helps! ## They aren't the same substance, though they are distantly related, so being aller... ...

is it hard to get off this pill i am taking 4 day for my back ## The active narcotic in this, Hydrocodone, can be habit forming, even when it's not abused, but it will really depend on how long you've been taking it. If you haven't been on it for many months or years, then any possible withdrawal effects should be minimal, but can include nausea, dizziness, diarrhea and drowsiness, as well as rebound pain. Hi, I'm a 27 year old male with 2 thoracic disc protrusions, 1 lumbar protrusion, also have facet disease through entire spine. Also cord impingement in both of the thoracic disc areas. My question is that I'm currently on three 10/325 hydrocodone a day, but I'm finding im needing more than the 3 a day to manage my pain. Is it possible or safe to take 4-5 of these a day? I've been on hydrocodone for 3 years now and at most I only get about an hour of relief from my current dose. ## Hello, Justin! How are you? The main concern is actually the Acetaminophen that's in them, taking too much of it in a day can result in overdose toxicity, which could lead to liver damage, failure or even death. 4 or 5 of them in a day isn't an unreasonable dose, but only your doctor c... ...

hydrocodone is all the same. "Vicoprofen" is superior for dental pain ## Hi Kim, I'm not sure what the basis of your post is in so far as saying that "hydrocodone is all the same"? But the idea of adding Ibuprofen to the mix instead of the standard Acetaminophen/Tylenol doesn't seem to measure out a significant difference in my opinion, since they are both NSAID's. Vicoprofen may be good for pain for one person, but not necessarily another since everyone tends to respond differently. However each drug still comes with an understanding that undesirable and potentially fatal side effects such as liver or kidney damage, stomach bleeding, etc, has been reported to happen. So even if one does yield better results, the risk factors of using either one long term are... ...
