I am 61 Years old, i got operated lymphnode. After biopsy it says Tuburcolus Lyphedentis. Doctor Subscribed me AKT4 one sascet daily for six months. Do i need to do any test before starting the medicine. sir/madam, my mom is 42years old.she has been admitted in hospital for abdominal pain,continuous chill fever and sudden weight loss of about 12kg within 1month.on taking x-ray and ultrasound scan they found 800ml of plueral fluid has been formed.then they removed it and before 2weeks my mom get discharged from hospital and doctor advised her to take akt4 tablets in night and omnacortil,pan40 tablets.doctor told it seems like tb.and he also told that in plueral fluid test,RA factor is 40.what it means?now my mom is having knee pain while walking in steps after taking this tablets.is the treatment is right and when she"ll become cured?pls reply..

i started akt tablets from 25-11-2011.from march i have stopped combutol and pyrizine and taking r cinex and benadon. so how long i've to continue r cinex ## AKT doses varies with severity of illness. starting from 7 mnth to 1 yrs or sometimes even more. ethambutol doses can be adjusted by your doc but let your doc take the decision. as koch shows a relapse in many cases. get well soon

Hi, My mother was suffering from Abdomen TB. She got operated 5 months back. After operation, she was given AKT4 tablet for 4 months and then shifted on AKT3 & Neurobion tablets. But now she is facing problem of continuous acidity and vomitting feel. What could be the reason that after reducing one tablet also acidity increasing? Hi I have active ulcers and i started my AKT 4 tablets just 8 days ago.... 1st week I was fine and did not have much difficulties but from 8th day i started getting severe stomach pain which was unbearable. i am using akt 4 kit tab from past 1 month, But now i have knee pain on both legs for this i am taking D- rise sachet (Weekly dose, as per doctor's prescribed). i can't able to bear this pain... when it will be cured completely. this called as side effects, but the whole treatment is for 6-9 months. isn't it? My question is, i have to bear those side-effects till the end of the treatment?

i want to know while taking a akt4 tablet is it possible to conceive... if yes then is there any side effect to a kid ## AKT-4 contains Ethambutol, Isoniazid, Pyrazinimide and Rifampin, it is a combination of medications used to treat Tuberculosis. Have you discussed this with your doctor? While these medications aren't considered super dangerous during pregnancy, it may be a better idea to wait, until you have finished the course of the medication and the TB infection is cleared up, before becoming pregnant. There is always a risk of passing the TB infection on to the baby, as well. Common side effects to these medications may include: nausea, diarrhea, skin rash and vertical nystagmus. My mother is 66 year old and she was using AKT4 & AKT3 tablets for about 10 months.Due to this her eye sight has become poor. Doctor has advised to stop AKT3 since the course is completed. Now since she is not taking AKT3 tablet can the eye vision will come back to its origninality?? ## Hello, Suresh! How is your mother doing? Unfortunately, I really can't answer that question. It's going to depend on what caused the vision problem and what type of vision problem it is. Has she consulted an eye doctor? That would be the best way to have the problem properly evaluated.
