Iv been on Suboxone for almost 2 years now , and iv tried every single manufacturer you can think off, starting from the very first orange oval shape ones which are the original ones not generic ones , from that to strips ,an415 orange round , white round moon imprint to, white round lemon lime ones to bupes , which are the small round ones and have a 8 logo on the front and a arrow logo on the back , and in my opinion those are the best ones because they have no naloxone in then just 8 mg of buprenorphin , those ones work the best but they are not given out much because or abuse, I am on the round peach ones right now imprint 54 375 and they are working perfectly for me , as a matter of fact they work really good for me way better then the white round ones with the imprint if moon on t... ...

Your strips may be from a differant maufacturer. The pharmacist would know whats going on. Call the store you got them from. If you do would you let us know what he said in case someone else runs into these smaller ones. ## I will call my pharmacy & ask if they got them from a different manufactorer & let u know what they say...yesss the strips DO NOT LAST ME AS LONG AS THE PILLS DID but they quit making the namebrand Suboxone pills..I didnt like the generic pills so I use the strips now. ...

My Suboxone Strips are straight from the pharmacy so they have never been opened but they are "alot smaller" now and Iam mad but I dont know how to ask Suboxone pharmacy would think Im crazy probly so hhmmm? ## The size doesn't necessarily mean anything in regards to the amount of medication that they contain. There are likely just different fillers or a different manufacturing method being used. Do they still work the same for you? This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## Havn,t noticed any difference in size yet. I would like for them to be smaller. Maybe they would desolve faster. The one problem I see with smaller ones is th... ...

It's been proven scientifically and medically that some people are born with a genetic predisposition to have addictive tendencies. Learn more Suboxone details here. They can fight it, of course, if they are aware that they are prone to it, or know that it tends to run in their immediate family, but it is never easy. Almost anything they take, even substances that aren't known to be addictive and habit forming, may cause problems for these types... ...

Maybe im crazy but i don't like the strips, i just don't feel they work as well as the pills. I never ran short with the pills, but the strips i seem to take more. Anyone else feel this way? My dr said she'll only prescribe the strips and it's all in my head. ## Hello, Terisita! How are you? You're not the only one that has said this, it just seems that different formulations work better for different people. However, if you stuck with the strips at the amount you're supposed to take, then your body would likely adjust after a week or so. The only other suggestion I can make if you're not happy is that you try to find a different doctor. Does anyone else have any suggestions? ## Hi, I,m the other way around. How to take orange Suboxone pill with 54 375
3 Replies RSS
How do you administer the orange Suboxone pill imprinted with 54 375? Do you swallow it or put it under your tongue? ## Just put under your tongue like a strip but I only put one at a time ## Yes, this is a sublingual tablet that is intended to be dissolved under the tongue, however, there is no harm if it is accidentally swallowed, it will just take a bit longer to be absorbed and start to have an effect. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Actually bruprenorphine has almost no effect if swallowed. That iz wby they warn not to talk while taking sublingually , and why some people think the strips are stronger. Its... ...

take subutex and suboxone together
24 Replies RSS
I ran out of subutex last night - can I take suboxone today? ## Hi Ash, Based on my research, there are no drug interactions listed between Subutex and Suboxone. So with that being said, I wouldn't anticipate having any problems when switching between one or the other. Also, because Subutex contains the same active ingredient "Buprenorphine", taking the two meds together or within a short a time frame of one another would also be similar to just having an higher dose of Suboxone. Is your doctor also aware that you're taking both medications? ## Have only four 8 strips Suboxone to last until January 21st! I currently take 12 mgs day. Reason Im short? They were stolen and I can't turn the person in as he is family. I have no concrete proof. anyway, I've be on this ... ...

how long does suboxone

how long does suboxone block diazepam elavil & lexapro. ## Hello, Silver Fox2! How are you? It does not block those medications. Suboxone contains Buprenorphine and Naloxone, the Naloxone only blocks the effects of other opiates to prevent their abuse, while someone is being treated with it and the Buprenorphine takes their place on the opiate receptors in the brain. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I took 2 8 mlg strips rhis morning I got months ago incase I ran out and I went to the doctor the other day and he prescribed me 1... ...

suboxone strips therapeutic levels
1 Reply RSS
What are considered therapeutic levels for driving under the influence? My boyfriend is prescribed 16mg a day but only take a total of 2 mg -4 mg daily because he just wants to feel Normal and doesn't want to b fully dependant on it. ## Hi Tammy, How long has your boyfriend been on Suboxone for? Based on what I've read, Suboxone shouldn't impair your driving ability at all once you're used to its effects. Apparently though, they can still charge him with a DUI if for any reason he were to get himself pulled over. So as long as he's responsible about it, he may be fine with the amount he's choosing to take now. However, only through trial and error will he truly know what dosage allows him to be fully functional and without impaired judgment. I hope this helps! ...

Does anyone feel the suboxone strips suck???
1 Reply RSS
I started using the strips of suboxone a few months back.. But I find they don't hold me over as long as the pills did. ( I take the strips because I have a free co pay from the company) Especially when you have to split one in half. So the do to put me up back to 2 and 1/2 instead of 1 and 1/2.. Just incase so my new doctors says anyways.. Since he put my dose up instead of it being 45 a month now it's 75 a month.. But I got every two weeks now, my last fill was 1/15/14 and because it's a new doctor I had to go 2/4/14 how soon can I fill this new script?? ## " So the do to put me up back to 2 and 1/2 instead of 1 and 1/2.." is it safe to take suboxone with cephalexin
1 Reply RSS
I'm prescribed cephalexin for a UTI and want to start taking my suboxone strips to help with my H withdrawals. Is it safe to take the two together? ## Hi Shamana, Looking at's drug interaction checker, I didn't see any discrepancies listed between Suboxone (buprenorphine + naloxone) and Cephalexin. So based off that information alone, I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to take the two together, unless instructed otherwise by your doctor. Also, as long as it was the same doctor who prescribed both meds, I think it's highly unlikely that he/she would give you two things that couldn't be used at the same time. Although it never hurts to double check just to be on the safe side! I hope this helps! ...

8 Replies RSS
My Suboxone Strips are straight from the pharmacy so they have never been opened but they are "alot smaller" now and Iam mad but I dont know how to ask Suboxone pharmacy would think I'm crazy probably so any thoughts? ## It just depends on what fillers and excipients they use in them, there is no specific size that they must be, as long as they contain the full dose they are supposed to. The size itself really means nothing. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
