my serum cholestrol is 275 mg/dl; serum triglycerides is 200 mg/dl; hdl is 52 mg/dl and ldl is 183 mg/dl. I want to reduce my lipid profile. Recently got my lipid profile done,The readings are Sr.Ch= 233 / 50-200 mgs/dl.Tri-Glycerides = 205 / 50-170 mgs/dl, LDL = 145 /100-150 mgs/dl , HDL = 45 / 35-65 mgs/dl, (T) Lipids = 688 /400-1000 jmgs/dl , LDL/HDL Ratio = 3.4:1 / 3.0:1 ,Chol/HDL Ratio = 5.5: 1 / 5.0:1. I am advised by the doctor to take Tonact 10 for high Cholestrol. Now I have been taking it almost for an year. I sometimes feel weak and loose control of nerves. Is this kind of side effect? Should I discontinue? Prescribed to me for Cholestrol and was effective too. What alternative (vegetable/fruits) can I use (I am pure vegetarian) so that I do not have to take it and I can effectively control Triglyseride and LDL mainly. ## I have been prescribed Atorlip-F and Pantocid DSR for Cholestrol control. side effects ## In the year 2000 September and in 2007 February I had Stents. I am 70 now. I am using Concor AM 2.5,Ecospirin AV 75, Lipicard 160, Almezest 20mg,Indap SR 1.5, Glycomet GP1 and Amlovas 5 mg . Both BP and Sugar are completely under control. One of my relatives has been prescribed above combination of two drugs but he is having terrible skin itching problem . Does it relate to any drug combination . He also takes eltroxin ## I m 50 yrs now, a diabetic from 23 yrs, from the age of 27; on oral medicine for 12 yrs and gradually now on both, i.e Lantus 30 U + H. Mixtard 28 &16 U + Galvas met 50/500. I am also taking Tazloc 40 + Amlovas (2.5/12.5) each OD for Cholestrol as Also Lipicure 20 H/s. The above problems are in moderate control BUT In last few years I m badly effected by ED problem.
