my serum cholestrol is 275 mg/dl; serum triglycerides is 200 mg/dl; hdl is 52 mg/dl and ldl is 183 mg/dl. I want to reduce my lipid profile. Recently got my lipid profile done,The readings are Sr.Ch= 233 / 50-200 mgs/dl.Tri-Glycerides = 205 / 50-170 mgs/dl, LDL = 145 /100-150 mgs/dl , HDL = 45 / 35-65 mgs/dl, (T) Lipids = 688 /400-1000 jmgs/dl , LDL/HDL Ratio = 3.4:1 / 3.0:1 ,Chol/HDL Ratio = 5.5: 1 / 5.0:1. I am 78 year old male from India. I am diabetic but under control and mild bp under control. My cholestrol level is 113, Tryglycerides 166, HDL 46, LDL 32 and VLDL 35 as on 16th dec 2020. Previously as on 15/9/2019 cholestrol is 111, tryglycerides 134, HDL 43, LDL 32 and VLDL 35. I have been taking Atorvostatin 10 mg since many years. But when this tryglycerides level is 166 from 134 recently , I feel i should raise the dosage and would like to take 20 mg atorvostatin. what time of day is correct to take my ramipril, night or morning one chemist advices morning yet another chemist advices night time as that is when we make most cholestrol ## Ramipril is an ACE inhibitor, it used to treat high blood pressure, and to treat or prevent cardiac conditions and stroke, however, it has no effect on cholesterol levels. side effects ## In the year 2000 September and in 2007 February I had Stents. I am 70 now. I have thyroid and type II diabetes - well controlled. I have never had cholestrol, trycliserides or BP yet dr. had prescribed AV 75 since past 6 yrs. My pulse rate is 90 although BP is 110/70 - is it because of AV 75 - should I discontinue it now.
