Helli I have been on methadone for a little over a year. My stable dose was 60mg. Over the past 5 months I have finally gotten down to 11 mg and Have been doing great. They are saying its going to tale another 2 months to come down from 11mg droping 1 mg every 5 days. With school starting and my husband working having 1 vehicle its interfering with getting him to work and girls to school on time. Im having to drive a hour to dose. I talked to the nurse and asked how bad I would feel if I just stoped at the 11mg she said no worse then I feel now. Mind you I feel great, my bodu has adjusted to tje detox and its been a smooth ride since ive started detoxing. Minir leg cramps and naseau at the begging is the worse of my symptoms. I been on Linzess for like 2-3yrs. It is the best that has happened since Zelnorm. I seen everyone's Q&A's and tp answer those in question. I work 8-4pm and usually take it around 3pm giving it an hr or so before eating and by 6 or 7pm it works wonders. For those having severe constipation like myself, I take another before bedtime which is 11/1130pm and by 530am it also releases the rest of stool. So in short, take one around 11pm or bedtime AND another the next day around 3pm (ASK your doctor first if two is suitable- as im not sure and never asked) AND (depending on your work schedule). Just make sure it's an hour before you leave work. ## I believe if you take it twice a day you may desensitize. I cannot site the NIH page I read this on but you could Google it. Best ...

Just got some Xanax and Soma. The Doctor wrote # C for quantity. Is that 100 pills? ## I asked the Internet and it couldn't tell me either, but the Xanax is also written as # C, so I must assume that means 100 Tid, possibly 90 ## HI, Eddy! How are you? Yes, the C is used for a quantity of 100, it's a Roman numeral and some doctors have taken to using them to make it harder for people to alter the amount on prescriptions. It's not widely used yet, but I think it's most likely going to be something that's used more often. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Very interesting, thanks Verwon as that is what I thought. He had written for number 100 before, at his old Office in Arizona, a block away. I thought maybe it was a new California thing, although the Latin C...

I just started my Viibryd trial pack. I'm in the 5th day. I wouldn't call myself seriously depressed, but my doctor gave me this because Wellbutrin was giving me a headache daily. I do not have a prescription yet. My question is: Why go to a dose of 40mg. if you feel good on 20 or 10mg.? I could see going higher if less isn't doing it for you. What's the normal dose? ## I'll add to my own post. I'm now about 2 weeks into the trial pack. I did not go up to the 20mg., but broke them in half. I will not up it until I need to. I called my Dr. and asked for a 90 day script for the 20mg, which I will break in half. I do get a slight headache sometimes. I take Imitrex and it takes it away. I've been fooling around with the time I take it. I'm now taking it with ...

My BF of 11 years asks me questions about my EX while asleep on Trazodone, Ambien and Valium and says "it is the truth coming out", he has done this several times and every time he does it he doesn't like the answers. Are these combined with a truth serum or am I just in a fog and not really understanding the questions and just giving random answers? Oh Yah, I don't remember any thing the next morning and am given the worst treatment ever (and I am disabled, so I need his help, especially with our 8 yr. old). Anyone gone through this or have an answer? ## No, no truth serum or anything in them. However, if this occurs frequently, it could mean that you're overmedicated for sleeping, that's a lot to take each night. The FDA also warns that the Valium carries the r...

I have been on oxy 10 mg 3 times a day for three years. The doctor would like me to get off of oxy and try something else. I tried topiamate but it was making me hateful and tired. My husband told me to quit taking it, as I was not myself. I take effexior already, should I ask for Celebrex or cymbalta when I see him. I have severe pain throughout my body, neck and hip especially. I do not want to gain weight at all would rather lose 10 pounds. I have to see ## None of them are likely to be as effective as the Oxycodone, though I do understand why he wants you to try something else. Of the two that you mentioned, the Celebrex is the least likely to cause weight gain. Learn more Celebrex details here. Are those the only choices he gave you?

I have been on subutex 54 411 white 8mg Tablets for almost 2 Years now, If you do not want to be on another pain medication I strongly believe this is the way to go I have always had a prescription but now I am asking my doctor to lower me off of them I am down to 1 a day where I was at 2 a day I will tell you that 1 full 8mg subutex will not give you any withdraws within 24hrs that's how long they are made to last a lot of the withdraw symptoms are in your head..an 8mg subutex pill fills up your receptors in your brain enough to last you 1 full day. I have heard of other people taking other pain medication between it and not being sick because their is NO naloxone in the Subutex; (NO Blocker) for other pain medication. I will say I am very iffy about coming off of them and very ner...

My adult son took 1/4 of a 50MG naltrexone last night and is going through precipitated withdrawals now. He asked me to post the following question. What would happen if he took the another 1/4 later in the day? He is bound and determined to making his doctor's appointment tomorrow afternoon for a vivitrol shot. ## Hello, BuckOwen! How is your son doing? He'll likely keep experiencing severe withdrawals. However, the thing you need to be aware of is that precipitated withdrawals can be very dangerous, possibly life threatening. He could even suffer seizures from them. Other typical PW symptoms, as listed by the FDA, may also include fever, chills, vomiting, diarrhea and insomnia. What did his doctor tell him to do, before starting the shot? ## Long ago but I hope he is well. Yea...

My brother has biopolar and is been treated. A year ago he stopped meds and left town where he had a maniac total meltdown and did terrible things which my elder brother won't forgive him for! My question is do they know what they are doing during the "high maniac" and can they recall what they did thereafter, the patient who stopped his meds was drinking heavily at the time too! ## Hello, Shirley! How is your brother? There's no way to know for sure. He may or may not remember, the alcohol definitely complicates it further. Has he claimed that he doesn't remember? If he was in what was basically almost a psychotic break, then he may not remember.

I started taking levo....about 3 years ago. Off and on really, i am terribly bad at taking medication. In February I stopped taking my levo (Don't ask me why but I couldnt tell you), fast forward to last week when I go in for my doctors follow up (not all due to the thyroid), I didn't say anything to the doctor about not taking the levo and proceeded to have my blood work done. I get the call a couple days later that my thyroid levels were perfect. So i tell them that cant be right and we should retest, I retest and the same results, perfect. How can they be perfect when I haven't taken my meds in 5 months? So either i was taking it before and not needing it or my body just happened to heal itself? Doubtful. Anyone have any insight? ## There are a few reasons why such things...

I just filled a script for hydrocodon/acetaminophine 10-500, The pills say 3500 on it instead of 3600, but they still have a V. Did I get the right pills from the pharmacist? ## Your best bet is to just ask the pharmacist. ## What you have might be the 7.5 mg Hydrocodone dose. If you are reluctant to take it then what I would suggest is going back to the pharmacy with it and telling them that the imprint code is different from your previous prescription. That way they can determine if they actually gave you the right medication. Can you please post back and let us know what they determine it to be? This inscription V 3500 is not really coming up. ## Hi Janine - I got an email back from Qualitest support and they stated "All Qualitest tablets bear the V inscription. I don't see a...

I have been taking hydrochlorothiazide for years and i want to know how long it will take to get out of the system. Its a simple question and i see other people have asked the same question and they answer everything but the time frame of how long or about how long it will take to get out of the system. ## is hydrochlorot 25mg and hydrochlorothiazide 25mg ## I also take this for HBP...why are you concerned about getting it out of your system? Before stopping it, consult your doctor for a replacement or your bp may skyrocket and you'll be putting your health in a compromising state. ## The medication will be completely out of your system between 25-60 hours. However, the effects from a single dose will wear off in about 12 hours. ## It is generally about 5 to 6 half lives for a medic...

My doctor prescribed to take this as 2 pills 2x per day. Not a ramp up like I read about online - has anyone else done this? I have not started taking the pills yet. ## You really should gradually increase it. It isn't fun gradually, it has to really suck taking it all at once. I would think it could hurt you taking it all straight away. The dr will write the rx for the full amount but either tell the pt to gradually increase or give them a sheet of paper. He gave me a pamphlet from the company that makes it. Ive found this to be common with other medicines that had to be brought up to a full dose over time. You should call and ask your doctor what you should do and tell them about the titration schedule. He may not know about it. I've had to inform my doctors about a lot of thi...
