Are most patients prescribed a 5 day regimen of Augmentin or longer? ## It actually depends on the type and severity of the infection being treated, so it can vary anywhere from 5 to 14 days and isn't recommended to continue longer than 14 days. I've been on five 10/350 Norco per day for pain for years and it has lost effectiveness. If I were to quit taking it, how long would I need to be off it before it would be effective again? ## Hello Farm Boy Snickers, I've had to do research on this before and really there are just too many variables for any person, medical professional or not, to give an accurate answer. Truth be told it's really up to your body and how quickly or slowly your body adapts to changes. I've seen some studies and claims that people were able to "cycle off" of medicine within a month or two and then go back to medication whereas I've seen others who claim that the tolerance they built to a medication never went away and they they simply had to change medicines. I know this isn...

Did Xyzal change their formula recently. I've been taking Xyzal for years for chronic urticaria. However, as of the last refill (June, 2014), it stopped working. Has anyone had this issue? My doctor wants me to try the generic to see if that works. Is there anything else that works as well as Xyzal? ## Hello, Tommy! How are you? No, but what has most likely happened is that you've developed a tolerance to it, after having been on it for so many years. You'll likely need to take a break from it and try a different medication for awhile. What others have you tried for your uticaria? ## Hi, thanks so much for the reply. The docs have me combining it with Allegra. I'm not sure it's working that well yet. I have to wait until the Prednisone treatment is complete. Other th...

It says take 2 pills every 4 hours and I have 80 pills how many days is that? ## 2 pills every 4 hours and 80 pills how many dsys ## Approximately 7 days supply, to be more precise, it would come out to be 6.6 days. Unless the instructions say it's to be taken on an as needed basis, if that is the case, then your doctor may think they should last longer. The FDA defines PRN in a very similar manner. What medication is it? Maybe I can provide more precise information if you can post back with the name of it. ## My prescripción saya take 2 tramadol every 4to 6 hous for pain as needed for coronación pain. Hello, this is my first post. I took Viagra for 20 years with excellent results. Suddenly it quit working. So I tried 15 mg Cialis, and it worked great after about 8 hours. I was a raging bull for about 3-4 days. The following week, I lowered the dose to 10 mg and.....nothing, zero after 8 hours. My new girlfriend was so disappointed that I don't think she will ever come back. The next morning, about 18 hours after taking the 10 mg Cialis, it kicked in. Of course, my girl was long gone by then. So frustrating. Has anybody else had a similar experience? ## Usually, it only takes about half an hour to start working, however, in cases where it is taking longer, you may need to take a daily low dose pill. Why did you lower it to 10mgs? Have you discussed your experiences with your docto...

I take 1 Percocet every 6 hours for pain and I have 60 tablets how long should they last? ## Hello, Penny! How are you? If you take them every 6 hours, then 60 tablets would last 15 days. However, if the prescribing instructions from your doctor say to take as needed, then your doctor may expect them to last longer. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## If the doctor prescribes every 4 hours that 6 pills a day six times 10 is 60....Meaning 10 days 60 pills where the hell did you get 15 ## I received 120 pills on January 9 and I take them every 6 hours today is January 30 bow many pills ...

After many years of success treating my problems with allergies, I learned that Rondec TR and its generic equivalent Coldec TR were no longer being manufactured. I have tried other meds, but without success. It seems like the key ingredient of Carbinoxamine is lacking in the newer drugs and that is the ingredient of benefit for me. I would welcome any ideas and also would like to better understand why Rondec/Coldec is no longer produced. ## I cannot answer as to why it is no longer made, it could have been found to be dangerous, or the company just wasn't selling it the way they used to, so they were losing money and decided to stop marketing it. I haven't heard of a recall involving it, so my best guess would be that latter reason. There are a couple brand names it was sold und...

If so, please kindly give the suggestion. ## Evion is just a nutritional supplement that contains Vitamin E. It is vital to your overall health and the health of your hair, skin and nails, but it will not actually stop hair loss that has other causes. It is basically considered safe to take, unless your doctor has said that you shouldn't, or if you exceed the recommended dosage amounts. Hi, Does anyone know how many people take this medicine in USA? How about its effect? How mean generally how long it can extend people's life Thanks, Gang ## Hi, Gary! I'm sorry, but I couldn't find any data on the number of patients taking it. However, as far as the survival time extension, it was shown to be 5.5months for Kidney cancer (advanced clear cell renal cell carcinoma) and 3 months for Liver cancer (heaptocellular carcinoma). These are of course the median survival rates, which means some people lived longer with more improvement and some shorter. Does anyone else know more? ## I've been on it for 9 months and have heard of people taking it for years.

I have 60 Tramadol pills and my prescription says to take 1 every six hours (only 4 max a day). How many days supply is that? ## That would be 15 days, if the prescription says you should take them regularly. However, this may be different if it is prescribed to be taken as needed, in that case, your doctor may expect it to last longer. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. When you take 8mg of hydromorphone for a long time, and you no longer take the pills, how many days does it take to be metabolized by the body? Wondering if and when withdrawals can happen? ## Hello, Tonya! How are you? The half-life of Hydromorphone, which is when it reaches only 50% of its level in your body is just around 4 hours, for oral dosing. Full elimination time takes 5 to 6 half-lives, so that would be 20 to 24 hours and withdrawal would likely start around that time. Withdrawal effects may include nausea, dizziness, insomnia, fever, chills, rebound pain and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with?

I just had knee surgery may 3rd.I had Hydromorphone and ran out and because of the slow healing process that i am experencing,My Doc gave me hydrocodone 5/325's.He said to take 1-2 every for pain, but it doesn't seem to be working.Should I wait a while longer to see if it does.I DON'T want to take very high does of acedaminophin because of liver damage. ## You can take Ibprofin with this. ## You are correct to worry about taking too much of the Acetaminophen, not only does it risk liver damage, but it can be toxic if you take too much of it in a day. At doses over 4grams/4,000mgs, it can be toxic and put you in life-threatening danger. Because of this, I'd suggest talking to your doctor, before adjusting the amount you are taking. I have been on gabapentin for two years now. I am on 800 mg 3x daily. I was put on this due to severe facial pain due to severe trauma to my face in a car accident. My face slammed into the dashboard. My question is how long can gabapentin continue to work for me? I can not live in the pain I had before taking gabapentin. Drs. are so frightened to write me any pain meds, such as fiorinal with codeine when I have a break through of severe pain in my sinuses. I have been operated on my sinuses 4x since the accident. My nose no longer functions, therefore extreme pain. Neurologist not able to do much because I am on Prozac and Notriptyline for anxiety and depression. My pain medication no longer works. My body stop has responding to them and instead I feel amped up. That's so disheartening, and defeats the purpose. The reason for taking pain meds is because I suffer from 6 major medical diagnosis and I don't what to get into them right now. My physician plays dumb when I ask him. I will say I've been on pain meds for over 11yrs and have had 4 surgeries and another 1 is in the works. Can anyone help? Please and your help is very appropriated. ## There isn't anyway to say that any one medication in a certain dosage is more effective than another, it really depends on the person and what works for them. That said, it's hard to even make a suggestion that you can discuss with your doctor, when you haven't mentioned what you'v...

Does anyone understand the new opioid law that was recently passed? It seems doctors can not prescribe 30 milligrams of oxycodone without being hospitalized, or a cancer patient. What is going to happen to all the chronic pain patients? The suicide rate will go up, and illicit drugs will be used as a substitute. This law helps no one, but hurts all chronic pain sufferers. The government has gone crazy, and in their infinite wisdom overstepped their bounds, they are not doctors. ## It isn't that they can't prescribe it, it is just that they have to be very, very careful about doing so, or they could risk losing their license to practice medicine, as well as fines and jail time. This has made many doctors very reluctant to prescribe it and, in most cases, someone has to see a spec...

However, in spite of repeated searching after people like you have asked about it, I've been unable to find anything on H86, nothing on what it actually is, proof of its efficacy and etc. I've tried both free and paid resources, to no avail. i have a 3 months course of tablets. .. .. . . 1 per day. so how long should i continue to stop the drinking. nd what are the side effects.................. plz help . . ## Dizone contains the active ingredient Disulfiram and it is used to treat chronic alcoholism by making someone super sensitive to the effects of alcohol. The most common side effects are: drowsiness, metallic taste in mouth and headache. As to how long it will take to process out of your body, there is really no definitive way to say, because this can vary from individual to individual and other factors can affect it, such as the dosage, how longer you were taking it and etc. Have you consulted your doctor? ## no havnt consulted a doc. if want to consult which specialist should i consult ???

I talked to a rep at an Indian pharmacy and he indicated that India can no longer ship many of the meds they used to. I would never feel comfortable ordering any C4 or other controlled medicine online and we know it is a Felony any way you look at it ## There are GMP non compliance issues not related to US. It affects EU markets where they do bussiness and internal. Large manufacuters sometimes sub to smaller ones. how many minutes does it take to start feeling the effects of an oral dose of hydrocodone? ## Since Hydrocodone, even when coupled with Acetaminophen, is only available as a regular release formulation, it can take about 15 to 20 minutes to start working, after you take it. It can vary a little, but that's generally the rough amount of time for it to start being broken down by your stomach acid and enter your blood stream. It can be a little sooner if you take it on an empty stomach or a little longer if you take it with a meal. It can cause some pretty bad nausea, as a side effect, so it's usually best to make sure to take this one after eating. You may also experience drowsiness, dizziness and constipation. I do not have IBS but have constipation due to vaginal floor problem. I normally have a small bowel movement or two daily but do not clean out completely. Many people have had similar issues with it, it tends to work great at first, then just seems to stall.
