can i take ranitidine and ecospirin simultaneously ## Yes, as a matter of fact, in the U.S. they are often prescribed together to help prevent the stomach damage and acidity that the Ecosprin (Aspirin) might cause as side effects, according to the NIH. Other side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach pain. Has your doctor prescribed both of these medications? It is always best to check with them, before taking anything.

I had been prescribed Ecospirin 150 mg once daily after a mild heart attack in 2001. In 2005 I started experiencing ringing in my ears. In 2007 I started experiencing piles. In 2009 I experienced bleeding ulcers. Doc said these are all known side-effects of long-term use of Ecospirin, and finally discontinued it for me. Instead, he has prescribed Clopi---. Can anyone guide me as to whether it is a good substitute for Ecospirin, and whether it too has side effects from long term usage? ## Clopidogrel is a good substitute. You will not have the side effects as caused by aspirin.
