My boyfriend was prescribed to take (2) 25 mg tabs of hydroxyzine at night but it doesn't work that well and when he takes (1) of my 50 mg tabs it's more effective and works better. Part of me wonders whether it has enough time to digest if you're going to bed directly after you take it. I am on currently prescribed Klonopin 2mg 3x a day for generalized anxiety and debilitating panic attacks, along with Fetzima, a SNRI that I recently started a week and 3 days ago. Prior to that, I was on Pristiq for 3 months and that did nothing for my depression but make it worse, and before that I was on Effexor XR, which for a decade because it was the only anti-depressant that didn't cause terrible side-effects and weight gain. Our 7 YO daughter has had unexplained hives and rash for over 9 months, treating with hydroxyzine, Zantac, Singulair, and Xyzal. It had mostly cleared up and then she caught a cold so we gave her the recommended dosage of Veramyst. Within 24 hours her hives and rash were back, with fever, swollen feet and hands, and one bloody nose. The last dose was over 3 weeks ago and symptoms are diminishing, but still present (100.1 fever this morning).
