Hello I have been on opiates for about 2 years now and I was given a half of a quarter of a subutex and this is my first time taking it. I was wanting to know when it wears off? I think it threw me into full detox because I took 20 mg of hydrocodone 7 hours before I took the sub. I am aware I have a problem I just want to know when the sub will wear off. Took it at 1:30 pm, it's now 9:30pm. ## It usually takes about 72 hours, before other opiates will be effective for you, again. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## That is not necessarily true. If it's the only one he has ever taken and in such a small do... ...

how long does amoxicillin liquid last when open
1 Reply RSS
Can I use an open liquid amoxicillin for a 2 year old that I got on 11/03/2016? He's been messing with one of his ears. ## Hi Sara, I see you posted this back on December 28th 2016 so you may have already come to a consensus on what to do... But I would say that if it has been left open for nearly two months or longer then that's probably not something I would recommend taking. Liquid solutions in particular I believe are more susceptible to going bad than tablets. Not to mention that any impurities might have made their way into the open bottle during that time period. I also think the effort to get a fresh antibiotic will ultimately be worth while, to ensure the safety and efficacy of the treatment. My best wishes to you and your son! ...

How long does the time release last on these pills?

I was just given one of these pills as a substitute to taking 12 "512" percs a day. What am I to expect? How long is the time release? When should I take more if I ate some at 9am? Do they destroy you like the original OCs do? ## I am reffering to the 20 mg OP. Sorry! ## Hi Heidi, I personally don't have any experience with this medication, but thought I'd offer some information I've gathered, just to help you out: "Take OxyContin (OP) every 12 hours. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible. Take your next dose 12 hours later. Call your healthcare provider if you are not sure about your dose of OxyContin or when to take it." Seeing this, I'm assuming that the time release effect lasts up to 12 hours. I could be wrong, but I do know that shortly wi... ...

How long should I wait?

I was on methadone for two years 70mg. I tapered off and switched to subs. I was told to wait 3-4 days to take it. Well the 2nd day I had a 100mcg patch. I cut it into 8 pieces and took a piece the last 6 days. Today is friday, I last took a piece yesterday around 2pm local time, so its been roughly 20 hours. How long do I have to wait to take my suboxone? I did the COW chart & my score is above 15 like they recommend but I'm scared to go into PW. ## Hello, Kate! How are you? If you were told to wait 3 to 4 days to take it, then you should follow your doctor's instructions for the best results. HOW LONG DOES IT Take for a oxneo to take effect and start helping my pain once taken?
1 Reply RSS
I take a oxy neo 20 mg at 930 am and want to know how long before i start feeling the effects and how long will it last in my system ## Hi maria, The amount of time it will take for you to start feeling the effects of OxyNeo is dependent on your own unique body chemistry and whether or not you eat food directly before/ after you take the medication. It shouldn't take more than an hour for the medication to make its way into the bloodstream..but if you do eat something with the medication that could make the process longer. The dosing information I found says that if you aren't taking any other opioid medications, you can take (20 mg) every 12 hours if necessary. Therefore, I imagine that 12 hours is the amount of time the effects are supposed to last. However, like I mentioned p... ...

I'm taking suboxone and I ran out if i take 20 mg opana how long will it to be of my system
4 Replies RSS
If I'm taking suboxone and I ran out. If I take a 20mg opana how long will it take for the my body to metabolize it? ## Depends on the 1/2 life of Opana? Plus you may not even feel the effects of it due to Suboxones long long half life ## @Jay, The length of time any medication remains in your system is going to be dependent upon several factors including: the dosage taken, the duration of time you've been taking it, your age, weight, diet, whether or not you're taking anything else with it, etc. The only way I can personally help you to determine how long it might take for the Opana to leave your system, is to tell you the half life (like Matt mentioned above). Opana (oxymorphone) has an average half-life of 7-9 hours, which means that every 7-9 hours half of your last dose... ...

how long is liquid amoxicillin good for

Hi My daughter has 2 bottle of amoxicillin in the refrigerator. Never used but already mixed. The pink one. The expiration date in the bottle says January 2018. Will it still be good to use? The actual date mixed was July 18 2016 ## In my opinion it should be perfectly fine to take. I say this because I would personally feel comfortable taking it based on the info you provided. Depending on storage conditions many prescriptions can reportedly last up to 40 years after the listed expiration date (with few exceptions such as tetracycline). Harvard University and the LA Times both have articles online recognizing this... But since it's not even January 2018 yet I wouldn't even begin to question its efficacy (especially because it has been refrigerated)... Does anyone else have thou... ...

i have never tried this medicine, but my dr has presribed OPANA ER for me...even though i wanted the direct release...what are the efects? ## The effects of this will be similar to the direct release or any other opiate narcotic, this is just a time released version, so it slowly releases the dose over a certain time period, which means it takes about 20 minutes or so to start working in your body, but lasts much longer in your system than the instant release. How are you? You have to be in full withdrawal, before taking Suboxone, or it may throw you into dangerous precipitated withdrawals, unless your doctor instructs you otherwise. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.  Opana Oxymorphone Hydrochloride
Oxymorphone, sold under the brand names Numorphan among others, is a powerful semi-synthetic opioid analgesic (painkiller) developed in Germany in 1914.
