I have had a prescription for the fentanyl patches for servere back pain 25mcg/hr, I also take xodol 10-300 mg. The patch was so much trouble to use ( not staying stuck ) I stopped using them a few months ago. But recently the pain got so bad I decided to use a few that I had left over. Not thinking about them I had a routine urine test in my doctors office. Well the fetanyl showed up. I was on 200 mg of fentanyl every 72 hrs for one month and got a urine test 12 days later. It showed up in the results but I did not take anything except my ms contin. Why did this happen? I'm getting a Bronchoscopy and I'm wondering how long a single dose of Fentanyl stays working in my system? I'm guessing three days but I'm not sure of the dose. A pain contol doctor did a drug test. Said I had cocaine in my system and I have never ever tried/used/inhaled it ever. I got a surprise urine test today. I take fentanyl patches and nucynta. My last Nucynta was Saturday am and I took the test this morning (Tuesday). I also took a tramadol last night. 1.
