Took macrobid x 9 days and allergic reaction. ## Macrobid is an antibiotic drug and like most antibiotics when stopped, it will stay in your system for about a week, but a lot depends on the dosage and also your metabolism; so it could be a little more or less. It is common for a doctor to prescribe a 7-10 day course for an antibiotic; and from what I've read, most antibiotics will continue to fight off bacteria for 4-10 days (about a week) after use. Regarding the allergic reaction, information that I've gathered states the following: "A serious allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of a serious allergic reaction may include: rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, tro... ...

How long does it take for Ceftin to get out of my system? I need to take blood work and just finished 10 days of the antibiotic Ceftin. ## This is not something that is normally tested for and, if you are worried about it causing false results, the lab should be able to tell you how long you need to wait, before you can get accurate results. The FDA classifies this medication as being an antibiotic and its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, diarrhea, and non-allergic skin rash. Is there anything else I can help with? ...

Nitrofur Mac and the time it takes to leave your system

I am taking nitrofur mac 100mg 2x a day for a bladder infection. I have had mild nausea. How does it take to leave my system entirely after I have taken my last pill ## Nitrofurantoin's Half-life is about 20 minutes. However this time is increased in those with renal impairment. The time it takes to completely leave your system is varied for each individual, however most Antibiotics can stay in your system for a few days after you stop taking them. I would estimate anywhere from 2-4 days depending on how long you were taking them. I hope this helps! ## Is it normal for nitrofurantoin to give feeling of rapid heartbeat and when will it go back to normal. Also still having feeling of urgency to pass urine and frequency after 12 x 50mg doses and end of course; is this normal. ## Is any... ...

how long does this drug stay in your system ? ## Amoxicillin with Clavulanic Acid, the active ingredients in Augmentin, is an antibiotic that's used to treat various types of infections. kidney infection ## This is a combo antibiotic, commonly used for those types of infections. Sulfamethoxazole Info Click Here ## I am a spinal cord injury (SCI) and my SCI doctor has had me on this drug for 10 yesrs since my accident. It prevents Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs), because I self-cath up to 8 times a day. I have not noticed any side effects other than an occasional yeast infection. Every couple months or so, I will stop taking it for a week or two just to give my system a break and so I do not build up a tolerance to it. However, if I stay off too long, I usually end up getting a UTI which then must be treated by a stronger antibiotic. This sulfa drug is considered a maintenance drug and I take it once a day.
