I was prescribed this for a sinus infection. First of all u cant take this with probenicid. I am also allergic to penicillin. after three days taking ceftin 500mg twice a day. I took this med for 5 days, Saturday to Wednesday and developed an allergic reaction. I had a lump in my throat when i swallowed and could not speak. I went to the ER and they said i had laryngitis and gave me a steroid shot of decodran. Early the next morning my tongue swelled up, I got very itchy and developed hives/welts. I went to an urgent care and got another shot of decodran but within a half hr of getting that my face swelled up and i got very flush. How long does this remain in your body for?
