I have been on 50mg of Topamax for weight loss and recently had what appears to be my first attack of gout. If it is associated with kidney stones, could it also be associated with an increase in uric acid leading to gout? ## I have just finished taking topamax, and I can hardly move my left arm because of the pain of gout.Would be interesting to hear of anyone else., ## My fiance has developed what looks likes gout after being on topamax for about a week. Does Calvepen 666mg cause an attack of gout? ## Calvepen contains the active ingredient Penicillin, this is an antibiotic used to treat many types of infections. And yes, if you are already predisposed to gout, it can aggravate it and cause an attack. Have you contacted your doctor, yet? They should be able to give you an alternative antibiotic.

I have been taking Quinapril for many years, but cannot get it in Malaysia, so now take Perindopril. I have also suffered from occasional gout for years - but recently attacks have become much more frequent (every couple of weeks). Could this be the Perindopril? ## Yes, it certainly may be due to the Perindopril. Most blood pressure medications can cause excess uric acid levels that result in gout and sometimes you have to play around to find one that works for you, without being a literal pain. i have an acute attack of gout and i have to take naproxen or indomethacin,but i was prescribe for different reason amox trk and i want to know if i can take them. ## There are no interactions listed, but this site is not medical professionals, so you should ask your doctor or pharmacist to be certain. ? ## my husband was prescribed colchizine for gout and while he was given a white pill manufactured by Visions he had no attacks. He was given a yellow pill and had symptoms/attacks and the pharmacist was advised. They returned to the white/Visions Rx and again he was attack free. He now was given the yellow pill and is suffering not only a recurrence of symptoms but is having a severe attack in places he never had gout before. I am waiting to contact the supplier who sent this Rx (Caremark) when business opens today but my local pharmacist has told me Visions no longer makes colchizine. pain ## I have a case of GOUT..I was given a Rx for Diclofenaco (100mg) ans also a Rx for Nediclon (diclofenaco) 100mg...I don't know the daily dosage for these 2 drugs...I'm 61 years old...I took these before and it cleared up my gout attack in 3 days...can someone advie as to what the breakdown is for these 2 Rx drugs...thankyou, Glenn ## If you received a prescription then you must follow the dosing schedule as given on the prescription from your doctor. If you have trouble understanding it, then please speak to your doctor or pharmacist. ## from what i undestand, gout is largely trigged by what you eat - like pork, or asparagus or mushrooms. If it bothers you that bad, google a list a foods that increase uric acid and that should help.

a doctor once prescribed a small round pink pill about the size of a 200 mg ibouprofen. it was prescribed to me for my gout and it worked very well as i took it only when i had an attack. i was out of town at the time and now i no longer have the bottle of the doctors name. please help. ## The way a pill looks is entirely up to the whit and whim of the company making it, so unfortunately there are many, many pills on the market, both over the counter and prescription that could meet the description of a round pink pill. The only thing I can suggest is if your in the area sometime, to drop by the building and see if they can pull up any medical records you had there.
