My doctor advised me to take GLYCOMET 1gm in the evening and Diamicron MR 30 in the morning. My fasting is around 130 and PP is around 160. My insulin is on the higher side but my Doctor prescribed me Glycomet 1gm two tablets per day. My body is fat & a few years ago an ultrasound report had shown a fatty liver. With your medical issues, it would be remiss of anyone online to try to suggest a medication for you to use for weight loss, as there are many which would just worsen your problems, especially the condition of your liver. The best thing you can do would be to just follow a health, low-fat and low sugar diet and get plenty of proper exercise.

i am taking glycomet sr 500 daily for my pcos. now i am 3 month pregnant. i stop the tablet or continue. ## Hi Deepa, I would advise you to continue the tablet. My sister in law took the same treatment for PCOS. She stopped it after getting pregnant. Now she is facing pregnant sugar in later stage of pregnancy. So keep continuing. Doc told me that i ve a problem that is my ovaries has been expanded. so she suggested me to take Glycomet 750 tablet. What is difference between Glycomet gp3/850 and Glycomet Gp3 forte ## Hello, Sudhir! How are you? From what I've found there is no difference, they both contain the same amounts of Metformin and Glimepiride. The U.S. FDA lists their typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, flatulence, stomach pain and hypoglycemia. Is there anything else I can help with?

My dad have hyper diabetes.... He HV glycomt gp 4 fort twice a day but sugar not controlled..... 400 to 500 it become .....how much time it take to work in body.....he HV advog m 0.3 also twice a day.....pls and how much time it take ## Hi.. his doctor would be the right person to guide you further in this case. Consulting online for diabetes will never work or it might turn dangerous. His dr will take his history clearly, disease nature, past control, current level, his past record of responsiveness to medicines, risk of hypoglycemia and many more other factors to rx suitable medicine for him. 500 mg/dl is too high - hence pls consult a dr immediately without any further delay. Any further delay will affect increase complications.

I am Taking Glycomet Gp 1 tablet in the morning and Glycomet 500 mg tablet in night but still my sugar is not in control. Presently my sugar level-empty stomach is 114 and after food is 199. I know that Glycomet is used by diabetic patients. My wife has become fat unnecessarily. She is 92 kg, 38 years and has 158 cms height. She has thyroiditis and and her USG of Abdomen and Pelvis report shows that she has mild fatty liver and polycystic ovaries (3-4mm follicles). The doctor has suggested her to take glycomet r 500 twice a day. Is it OK if she takes glycomet r 500 to reduce her weight and have a baby? We are also planning to have a baby. I am a type 2 diabetes, I am taking glycomet trio 2 for the past two years, it very good. My hba1c is always between 6 and 7. Along with glycomet trio 2 I am also taking Istamet 50/500, these two combinations is very good effective. Request your doctor to suggest Glycomet trio 2 and Istamet 50/500, but the glycomet trio 2 is not available in all medical stores, only at apollo pharamacy i am able to get it.

Last june i.e 2010 june i have under gone scanning and many test such as harmone,thyroid as i have irregular periodsand all the reports were normal(no PCOD), i used ovacare tablets for 2 months but periods were not regularised.Now when i again consulted doctor as we are planning for baby doctor prescribed me fertomid 50mg(5tabs),gluconorm sr 500mg(30 tabs),ebexid(30 tabs).I wanted to know why i was prescribed gluconorm and ebexid even though i am not diagnoised with PCOD or hyper thyroid..please clear my doubt..thank you..

I take amryl 2mg before breakfast and glycomet SR 500 after breakfast and before dinner also. I am diabetic type 2 for the past 16 years & also hypertension medication I am taking Glycomet Trio 2 before breakfast & Galvus Met 50/ 1000 mg before dinner . While my Post lunch sugar levels are by & large within normal range for my age ( 84 years) my fasting sugar levels are always beyond normal range ( 130/137) Do I need to change the before dinner medication ( Galvus Met 1000/50)
