What manufacturer currently makes the best generic Percocet 10's? My pharmacy carries Mallinckrodt and I had a huge issue with their Norco years ago so I would like to ask if they'll order a different one for me but I don't know which would be good. Need excellent pain relief plus not that super tired feeling. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. ## The only issue I see with making comparisons is, this is all a matter of personal opinion based on each individual's unique body chemistry (i.e. something that isn't easily measured from a medical standpoint) and doesn't necessarily convey or predict how someone else going to respond to another manufacturer [no matter if it's the same drug or not]. Some people may also be more sensitive to different inactive ing...

Help this brand is making me sick! Oxycodone + Acetaminophen (Imprint: WES 203) 10/325. Does nothing for my pain, making me itch and feel sick, on top of that it's messing with my depression. I have informed CVS and was told they couldn't do anything, called my doctor and he was willing to call in another script but CVS didn't contact him and he was waiting to talk to the pharmacist. That was Thursday around 4:15 don't know what happened but my doctor never talked to them r me and it's now Sunday. Any information? ## Your doctor doesn't have to wait for the pharmacy to contact him, he can initiate contact, or even just send over a different prescription. Have you heard anything, yet? Some side effects, such as depression, are normal, according to FDA reports. Thi...

Is the ip 304 pill generic of percocet, or can it be used for opiate withdrawal? ## Hello, William! How are you? An oval, orange tablet with the marking IP 304 is manufactured by Amneal Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 75mgs of Velafaxine. The FDA classifies this medication as being an SNRI antidepressant. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood swings and weight changes. However, if you mean the oblong, white tablet with the marking IP 204, that is listed by them as being a generic for Percocet, which contains 10mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation...

Amneal's oxycodone, generic for percocet 10/325 is white, oblong, blank on one side, and imprinted with IP 204 (not IP 203)! I usually take Watson or Mallinckrodt, 10/325, (2) tablets every 4-6 hours (240 monthly), but I was given Amneal today when filling my script, and I am not happy! I have cancer, and I also take morphine sulphate 30 mgs as well (1 every 12 hours), and Fioricet with Codeine for severe migraines (as needed)! I do not feel Amneal is sufficient or even close to the chemical makeup as Watson or Mallinckrodt for controlling pain/chronic pain! Amneal does not act the same way on my body, and I should not have to take more for same result! I think when you pay cash for your medications, and have been on the medication for 8 years, using the same pharmacy, they should o...

The pill itself says IP 204. It seems to be percocet 7.5 when I try to find it. The issue is I had a tonsillectomy yesterday and the pain meds do not seem to be helping. I got to thinking what did the pharmacy give me? It was supposed to be percocet 10 and Tylenol 325. It is white and long, oval like. I am thinking about calling the pharmacy, but wanted to know if this was the right medication. Because with a 10 mg...It should be decreasing in my pain and it is not. What should I do? ## IP 204 is a generic Percocet 10, manufactured by Amneal Pharmaceuticals. Having your tonsils removed, especially if you are older, can be quite painful. Hope you feel better soon. ## As an additional note, not every medication works for everyone that tries it, either. Even if you've taken it before, ...

Knowing that generic pharmaceutical manufacturers can vary principle ingredient(s) by as much as -20% (i.e. minus 20%), I am attempting to find a generic producer of Percocet that has proven to be beneficial for others in situations like or similar to mine. As a result of a hard fall, I sustained an injury called spondylolethesis (i.e. shifting vertebrae) from L4, L5, & S1. Corrective surgery was required involving a ventral incision below navel and two dorsal incisions on either side of lumbar spine in order to install the appropriate orthopedic spine hardware (e.g. screws, rods, posts, etc.). Six days after hospital release (12 days post-op) had to return to hospital ER due to incision inflammation and increased pain. Morphine was substituted for Percocet. Knowing their are a good...

I got a report to read from the FDA sent from the DEA on generic Percocet from a friend's family member that works for the FDA. The report said that in their discussions they came up with a plan to stop people from dying from overdoses & addiction. Said Generic Percocet is the most abused medicine on the market. They have in place a 20% tolerance on generic pain medication and they deemed this wasn't helping the abuse of Percocet. People have been complaining in the thousands about Rhodes Pharmaceuticals and others not putting the correct amount of opioid in generic Percocet plus it seems to be making people sick. In the report not only are they decreasing the 20%, but also adding 50% to the 20% so you're getting 70% less of the active ingredient in Rhodes/Purdue Pharmac...

My pharmacy switched to Mallinkrodt generic percocet 10/325. After 3 months of taking them my wrists are stiff; my outer side of hands, pinky & ring fingers have gone totally numb! Also, little to NO pain relief, withdrawal symptoms ie; like the flu, exhaustion, episodic sweating, nausea...as if I’m taking a fake pill! I’ve been a legit CP PATIENT for 20 years; never a problem. Last 2 yrs every generic percocet has very odd side effects. My whole life & persona has drastically changed. Hard to function. What has obviously been added/subtracted, changed in the formulations? Is anyone else experiencing this or am I losing my mind? Thanks in advance to anyone who can offer me some advice &/or facts. ## Regarding the numbness, you should really have that checked out ...

What happens if you take expired Percocet? ## When did it expire? If it is within one year, it is still as potent as if it were still in date. All Rx's usually start losing their effectiveness at a rate of 5-20% each year. But otherwise safe to take expired unless discolored or crumbling. ## Well at least Im not the only one that knows the OP's dont work, and the old OCs were the brand until the end of last year. The old OCs work. I know that Walgreens had the OC's as generic but then was told not to sell them as Generic but sell them as brand. I did fill a perscription with 40 OCs brand and then noticed that they said OC on them. I have called a lot of Walgreens and they don't say much over the phone. I had two percrips filled as brand and saw that they were OCs. Now wh...

I was taking an oblong white Percocet 10/325, my pharmacy has changed to a round white 10/325 pill which is to me much stronger. Can there be such a difference in the same prescription but different manufacturers? With the round pill I feel tired and checked out. The other pill I didn't seem to have any effect unless I took my klonopin at the same time. ## Under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984 the FDA allows the generics to differ from the name brand, in the amount of the active ingredient, by as much as plus, or minus 20%. Thus, it is possible that one may be stronger than another, since generic manufacturers don't have to measure against each other, only against the name brand. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects,...

What is the difference? My script reads "Percocet oral tablet 10-325 mg" and the pharmacy gives me IP 204 10-325 mg. ## Hello, Dona! How are you? There is no difference. Percocet is the trade name for a medication that contains Oxycodone and Acetaminophen, so your pharmacy has provided you with a generic manufactured by Amneal Pharmaceuticals. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I got my prescription filled and when I got home from the pharmacy in the bottle I had the white IP 206 Oxycodone instead of my normal Percocet 10 yellow pill. Should I take this or bring them back to receive my yellow Percocet 10 (or) do the two work just as strong or not? Thanks ## This is the exact same medication, just manufactured by a different company than the one you had received, before. Many pharmacies switch which one they carry, according to whatever company had the cheapest generic available when they placed their restock order. If you went back and insisted on getting the other ones, again, they probably won't even have then in stock anymore. ## I am a 55 year woman. my MIR looks like a 75 year old. Been on 10/325 yellow percocet. I refill at Safeway. They gave me ip 204. What is the difference? I don't get the same relief from the IP 204. They said that is what Safeway is going with. I am stuck with these pills. What can I do? ## Hi doris, IP 204 is a generic form of percocet, made by Amneal Pharma. It also contains a dosage of 10/325 mg. If there are any notable differences between this and the yellow version you're used to taking, I'd say it would probably be found in the list of inactive ingredients (binders/fillers)... No yellow dye for example. Just for the record here is a list of inactive ingredients found in the IP 204 pill: silicon dioxide + crospovidone + magnesium stearate + microcrystalline cellulose + povidone + corn starch + stearic acid There's also ...

Over the past forty years I have been taking oxycodone and valium for different lengths of time, different health issues, and manufactured by many different pharm companies. Until the 1990s the brand names were affordable; $20. for 100 Tylenol #4s, $25. for 100 Percocet 5s. When the drug prices went sky high, generic versions flooded the market, $75. for 100 Miltowns vs. $5. for 100 generic meprobamates; but for every two Miltowns I was used to taking, to get the same physical effect (mild sedation) from the generic version I had to take three times as many. Even my doctor told me that the generics were only about 35% as potent as the brand name, so he told me to ask for the brand name of meprobamate Equinal, which was just as good as Miltown but only cost $18. for 100 tabs. Now, though...

I also took the Watson. Last prescription I received amneal which were awful. Aleve worked better! I threw them away! I did take the Mylan before and they was not too bad. Don't know if any generic now can get close to the Watson. Now I found two different pharmacies that carry mylan and endocet. Seems from reading, Endo does not make the generic endocet only the brand percocet, its qualitest which is now part of Endo since 2010 per Endo website. Confusing to me. Can anyone explain this to me? Since the company Endo really does not make endocet, are they still the best generic or should I stick with the Mylan? ## Hi Lulu, How's it going?
