Generic Adderall Brands

I am very concerned and confused about why generic Adderall brands are so all over the place!! I usually get Aurora brand and I'm fine with it but last month I got this corpharma brand crap, it made my stomach ache and gave me a headache! It was terrible. Back on Aurora brand and I feel better again but wtf is up with this BS?! I'm thinking about having my dr write no substitutions on my script and just pay for the name brand adderall. I've tried it in the past and it is by far superior. Motivation, concentration, and energy are all together with minimal side effects. Anyone relate? ## Yep, it's a huge problem (variation in effectiveness) and it's gotten worse over the years. Main problem. With generics the FDA allows up to 20% difference in the "main", activ...

Is the round pink 30 mg Adderall generic name Sandoz/Eon with the markings of CDR 136 on one side more or less effective than the oval orange 30 mg Adderall generic name Barr/Teva with the markings of b974 on one side and 30 on the other side? What is the most effective/potent Adderall that is generic and 30 mg? ## Certain "inactive" ingredients that may or may not be present in each of these brands, are actually detrimental to how the drug is metabolized and used by your body. So it's quite possible that you may respond favorably with one medication and not the other (even if they are the same drug & same dosage); mostly due to how you feel or based on whatever side effects present themselves. Have you taken either one of them yet? I'd probably suggest giving them e...

Which is the better generic company? I just got GLOBAL and they are like taking sleeping pills. I'm sleeping 20 to 24 hours a day for days. If I didn't need to pee, I might never wake up. Can any body help me before I go back to sleep? ## Ive never heard of anybody falling asleep on adderall thats really weird....ur the first one i heard of that slept on them...maybe its intensifying another medication u take. I would talk to a doctor and tell them it done a friend like that u dont have to say u done that...goodluck ## Everyone is different. Been taking it for 15+ years and still have different reactions with the many brands or foods/drinks. Magnesium is another . Maybe get ir not the xr. xr drags the dose out over time. I hate the XR for this reason. Maybe its time to up your d...

I have been on generic IR adderall with my first being Teva. I could not take that at all! I tried the 10 mg and 20 mg's and it made me so nervous and jittery that I had to take a nerve pill and go to sleep. Then CVS gave me another generic version but I can't remember the name. It didn't make me nervous but it also didn't really give me any effects at all. So I just happened to find 20 mg Sandoz generic. Those were the best generic for me by far! But then the town I live in now only prescribe Teva. My husband had to go out of town to find the Sandoz and it's a pain to have to go to the pharmacies to see what brands they have because they can't/won't even tell you over the phone what manufacture brand they have. For the last month I have been going through a ...

Just wondered if anyone else has gotten a prescription filled with a round peach pill imprint U 31 on one side, and quarter score on the other ## Yes I got that generic yesterday ## @peter, Just to confirm, a round orange/peach colored pill marked with U 31 is in fact identified as a 30mg generic Amphetamine + Dextroamphetamine tablet. The manufacturer is listed as Aurolife Pharmaceuticals, based in New Jersey. I haven't tried them personally, but did come across a few posts on here stating that they weren't nearly as good as some of the other versions on the market. However, if you're not used to using other brands/generics, I'm not sure if you'd even notice any significant differences at all. I hope this info helps! ## They're horrible. I typically don't no...

HI, I HAD BEEN OUT OF MY ADDERALL FOR A FEW DAYS AND I GOT SOME NEW PILLS, ONLY I HAVE NEVER SEEN THESE BEFORE. THEY ARE ROUND, WHITE, AND ONLY HAVE THE NUMBERS 737 ON IT, OTHER SIDE IS BLANK...TASTE LIKE IT WHEN I LICKED IT, BUT NOT SHOWING UP ANYWHERE, IT'S 12/30/2014 AND I KNOW THAT THERE IS DIFFERENT GENERIC BRANDS, HELP PLS N TY ## Hello, Sw33tn3ss! How are you? Actually, according to the manufacturer, a tablet matching this description contains 150mgs of Bupropion in a controlled release formulation. It is classified by the FDA as an antidepressant and smoking cessation aid. Typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, headache and insomnia. Is there anything else I can help with?

I recently read online that the generic form of Adderall contains fillers and inactive ingredients. Is there anyone who was on the generic Adderall switch to the name brand? Did you notice a difference? And about how much do you pay with insurance...(you don't have to answer that if you don't want) I am currently prescribed D-Amphetamine Salt Combo 20mg. I take a whole pill in the morning, then a half a pill at 3pm. Even with the medicine, I find it extremely hard to remember what I just read while studying. I have to re-read a sentence a few dozen times in order to somewhat remember. ## All medications contain fillers/inactive ingredients, name brands, as well as generics. You can research the details via the FDA and NIH reports. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this m...

I'm searching for a current list of generic Adderall manufacturers (2020). ## Hmmm, aside from calling pharmacies and finding out which brands they stock, it might be possible to stitch together some information based on a couple of different sources to get a rough idea of which companies currently manufacture generic Adderall. For example, if you search this site's NDC database for Amphetamine (one of the ingredients), it gives you a lot of results. Next to each result is a date, so if you go through the pages and look for the more current dates then that could give you an idea. Also, DailyMed has a similar list but I don't see dates unless you click on each record. Lastly you can also check on the FDA Recalls page periodically to see if any brands have specifically withdra...

Is there a generic coupon for this. I am in financial help don't have enough cash for rent. Please let me know if there is anyplace I can go for a coupon to help defer the cost of this med. I can not live without it, can't function at all so this means I can not go to work!! HELP!!!!!! ## I need a coupon! ## There are no regular manufacturer coupons for generic medications. When coupons are available, they are only for the name brands and there currently isn't one for Adderall. You may want to ask your pharmacy if they participate in any discount programs. Most of them are free to sign up for you and you just print a discount card from a website. Does anyone else have any ideas? ## I've never heard of a coupon for any medications. I have been living in horrible fear sinc...

Does anyone know which generic manufacturer CVS commonly has in stock for both IR and XR Adderall (Amphetamine Salts)? I know they used to carry Mylan for the IR and it's awful. They also used to carry Actavis for the XR which is also terrible, but I don't have many pharmacy choices with my insurance.. and I'm nervous that I'm going to get stuck with Actavis/Mylan... if anyone has any info I'd appreciate it. I live in RI btw. Thank you! ## Different locations carry different manufacturers, brands and generics (and they are always subject to change). The only way to find out what a specific location carries is to go in person as if you are filling your prescription. You can always choose to not accept what they offer you and go somewhere else. After-all it's your ...

i am trying to identify a small light blue pill with N008 on one side and a score in the middle of the other side. I was told that it is a 20mg Adderall. I have seen blue Adderall but they are 10mg. ## Hello, Stephanie! How are you? The round, blue tablet with the N008 marking actually contains 20mgs of Propranolol, which is a beta blocker that's most commonly used to treat high blood pressure, certain cardiac conditions and some migraines. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain, hypotension and dry cough. Is there anything else I can help with? ## d amphetamine combo salts and name brands are SO effective at 20mg. Generic Adderall and brand names are "Orange book's" - 99.5% in efficacy. SHIRES Adderall is still superior. But the generic versi...

Will any pharmacy order special brands? I need CorePharma's generic adderall. Should I try vyvanse instead if I can't get it? I live in Phoenix, Az. ## Rite Aids have Corepharma. It is currently the best Adderall generic. ## @Bp, Re: "Should I try vyvanse instead if I can't get it?" Both Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine dimesylate) and Adderall (amphetamine + dextroamphetamine) are reportedly Central Nervous System stimulants and should have similar effects in that regard. So my guess is that you probably can't go wrong if you've never tried one or the other before, since trial and error is the only proven way to know what works best for you. After spending some amount of time on Adderall it may be that you wish to try Vyvanse (or vise versa) anyways due to an incre...

My name is Phil and I am 18 years old. I weigh 170 lbs and I am 6'3. At the beginning of my Freshman year of college I was diagnosed with ADHD and Social Anxiety Disorder. I currently take Adderall IR 10 mg (Barr Generic) once per day and Adderall XR 20 mg (Actavis Generic) once per day. I take Zoloft 100mg (American Health). My question is this: What are your experiences with the different generic brands? From what I have heard, for Adderall IR Sandoz/Eon has worked well with a lot of people, for Adderall XR Actavis (what I take) is really bad and I'd like to hear about Global and Barr, and I haven't researched Zoloft. Since I haven't tried any brands, I can't really compare these to anything. Here is the list of generics I have heard of (the asterisk means I'm ...

Do Atomoxetine generics have good or bad brands, and if so, which ones? Anyone who has been on an Adderall forum knows how terrible some of the generic brands are. And some make Atomoxetine too. Which ones have you tried? Even if you haven't found any to be better or worse than another.

Hello. I've been taking Sandoz Adderall IR for about 5 months now, so far so good. I am taking around 10mg x2 a day and it doesn't last long enough, and when the crash comes I become very confused and bored. 1. Does Sandoz make Adderall XR? If so, is it any good compared to other brands or generics? 2. If not, what is the best generic for Adderall XR? ## Hello Tyler, Yes Sandoz has been making an XR version of their Adderall since mid 2017. Due to the ingredients being different in the XR, as well as other generics, I wouldn't be able to tell you which one would work best for you. It's also worth noting that since you would be switching to the XR the medication may not have as strong of an impact as it used to due to the lower dosages of active ingredients in your system...

I have been taking adderall for over 10 years now. Started with Sandoz, which I have found to work the best. All the pharmacies I have been to have moved to other brands (Barr, Teva). They are ok. Does anyone know of any pharmacies in the Richmond, Va area that still carry Sandoz 20mg IR? If not, any other brands that you have found that work similar to Sandoz and where I can find them? ## There is really no best one that anyone can recommend. Since we are all different, the Adderall generic from one manufacturer that works well for you, may not work as well for someone else, and vice-versa. This medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, nervousness, and insomnia. What types of issues are having with the alternat...

My 23-yr old daughter has been on Adderall for eight years, with the prescription covered all that time by the same insurance/HMO provider. This month, her doctor (or perhaps the pharmacist) switched her to a new "generic" for Adderall - "Dextroamp Amphet" - and the insurance provider has written us to say they won't cover it. Seriously? A generic alternative that (I can only assume) is intended to save everyone money, and the insurance provider WON'T cover it? What am I not understanding here? ## Some insurance companies are reluctant to cover generics and, in many cases, it has to do with quality concerns. The FDA does allow generics to differ from the name brands by as much as plus or minus 20%, in the active ingredient. They consider this an effecitive and sa...

Hi Everyone! Pharmacy tried to give me a new generic--I have always used generic- manufacturer for my Adderall 20XR: Global. I gave it back. Can anyone share their experiences with Global 20XR? In the past when I've switched generic brands with 10mgIR I've had the same major issues that many people have described when switching brands--depression, paranoia, etc. As many people know, this type of thing can totally shut you down at work. Must avoid. However, I just don't know Global--there's very little online discussion about the 20XR. If anyone has a review, please share! Maybe I will just go back and get it (man it's such a major hassle to go without it for a few days while they re-order something else). BTW, I currently take Actavis 20XR and there are a *lot*of rev...

I am not sure how Mallinckrodt's generic products (quality) are in general, but if you take generic Adderall IR, it is horrible! Very weak, with an obvious lack of efficacy. Does anyone here have feedback on how Mallinckrodt's Adderall might compare to other drug manufacturers? ## What are the markings on them? Sometimes the manufacturer listed on the bottle is a licensed distributor, but sharing the pill imprint would enable others to double check on this as well as determine how the various inactive ingredients (binders/fillers) compare to other brands or generics on the market. I have had two refills of Adderall 20 mg that was manufactured by Teva/barr (Teva) and it seems to have much less medication in each pill. Refills by another manufacturer work. This is ridiculous, and where do we report Teva and who can check each pill for amount for medication? I would gladly donate some of my worthless ones to the FDA? ## You'd have to report any complaints to the FDA, at 888-INFO-FDA. However, there may not actually be anything to report. They do allow generic medications to differ from the name brands, in the amount of the active ingredient, by up to plus or minus 20%. This is considered an acceptable therapeutic window. For most people, these differences don't cause any problems, but if someone is sensitive to medications, it means that one with a slightly ...
