my sugar level is 210 fasting and 330 ppb i have been advised Gemer 2 and Tri Glynase 1 in place of melmet SR.advice me if any side effects of the above drugs ## All medications carry the risk of side effects, however, the risk is much greater if you let your blood sugar continue to be uncontrolled. Gemer-2 contains 2mgs of Glimepiride and 500mgs of Metformin, both of which are oral antidiabetic agents. Can it cause asthma like symptoms? As my relative takes high blood pressure and gemer1 and has suddenly developed very serious breathing problems and sometimes she's ok and it starts suddenly then may stop without medications or may need IV's for laxis, hydrocortisone, aminophiline together. ## What have the doctors said is causing it? If its genuine asthma, then that would be due to allergies and if she were allergic to the medication, it would happen every time she took it and most likely worsen with time. Hi, I'm 17 weeks pregnant. I mistook the gemer 2 tablet for my prenatal vitamin. I took these for over a week. Can my baby be affected by this? I have been diabetic for the last 12 years. My current age is 50 and U have been prescribed gemer-2 and tredaptive 1000mg/20mg. I am suffering from flushing and nausea. Is it because of this and since i need to control my sugar and triglyceride levels? I am 62 been a diabetic for 7 years. Taking Gemer 1 before breakfast and glycomet 250 in the night after dinner. Now doctor has prescribed Glycomet GP2 morning and Glycomet 500 for night. The quarterly average sugar level was 7.75. 4 years ago and 7.45 2 years ago and it is 7.40 tested 2 weeks ago. If this is a good progress in reduced average why should i be prescribed a more powered medocone. Also i missed info of i should take the two tablets before or after food.
