Gabapentin Twitch

My husband takes 2700 mg a day. Since his dose has been upped that high he has been experiencing severe shaking and tremors. His heart races and his muscles twitch as well. You can visibly see his body shaking. It is a constant state, not something that comes and goes. His doctor has yet to return his phone call. Has this happened to anyone else? ## Those can be side effects, especially at such a high dose, according to the NIH. He may also experience dizziness, nausea, weight gain, mood swings, and delusions. How long has he been taking this dose? Is he on any other medications? Has he heard from his doctor, yet?

At one time I was given Gabapentin for injury to my lower back. I am very allergic to Morphine and I had gotten the same effects from the Gabapentin, but the headaches were worse. i am 47 and have been on this drug twice a day for around 3yrs and since taking i have had muscles spasms, twitching,constipation,feeling high,but the drugs works well so am not sure whether to continue and put up with these side effects which can be quite annoying or check with doctor about changing the drug ? what do you think ## Is the only one in this drug class that you've tried?
