My last prescription pill was a little white round one. This new prescription bill is octagon white and has g1530 on it. Please advise if this is amlodipine besylate 5mg? ## Yes, this tablet contains 5mgs of Amlodipine, a generic for Norvasc. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, headache and dizziness. You can read more on this medication here: Is there anything else I can help you with? ## My usual amlodipine is 5 mg, a round white tab marked Z3. At a new pharmacy, the bottle says amlodipine besylate & is octagonal white tab marked LU on one side and H12 on the other. Is it exactly the same medicine? The name is even different - my old bottles never said besylate.
