Since taking Eliquis my weigh keeps going up. If I take a waterpill once a week, I lose 3-4 pounds overnight. I think there is a lower dosage like 2.5. It must be available at that strength. My food intake or activity are the same. I always maintained the same weight. ## Yes, weight gain is a typical side effect of Eliquis, many people have reported experiencing it. As reported by the FDA, you may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and easy bruising. And yes, it is available in both 2.5mgs and 5mgs. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I have gained 25 pounds and recently stopped eating any carbs and back working out 1 hour a day. not even a budge on the scale. I don't know if you are already eating a balanced diet, but nutrition is my field of study so I'd be happy to critique your diet for you to help you reach your goals. Aside from diet and exercise, I think that multivitamins play a big factor in absorbing certain foods better and increasing protein synthesis. For now the best thing I can suggest is to invest in a multivitamin and eat roughly 5-6 meals a day (in balanced portions of ...

I need help gaining weight. I've lost too much and am feed up with it. The worst part is that now my family is trying to claim I do not eat at all and suggesting I eat every three hours. I do eat. More then most actually. One reason is because I am trying to quit smoking so naturally I eat more as a result. Still I haven't gained any weight. I tried eating high protein foods too and nothing. What medicines or products might I use to help me gain weight again. ## Well, the first important question to ask is why have you lost so much weight? Why is your family claiming you don't eat? What can I do to prevent weight gain while using Lexamil? I am also taking birth control which adds to the possibility of gaining weight. ## Lexamil contains the active ingredient Escitalopram, which is an SSRI antidepressant and it isn't known to cause significant weight gain. Compared to taking an oral contraceptive, you are more liable to gain weight from the birth control, rather than the Lexamil. However, you can help keep any changes, from either medication, under control by watching your diet to make sure you aren't eating far more than you should, stick with lower fat foods and get plenty of exercise. Have you spoken to your doctor about your concerns? They will also be able to advise of ideas that may be useful to you.

Sir my metabolism is very weak and am also very weak and thin my age is 22 my weight is 45 ## Hi aman, Outside of using steroids or supplements that increase your appetite, I think the safest way to go about gaining weight would revolve around what you eat on a day to day basis as well as how often you do weight lifting/strength training. If your metabolism isn't functioning at its best, I would also consider taking probiotics and digestive enzymes to help process the foods you eat more efficiently. High intensity interval training is another type of exercise that can rev up your metabolism in a way that encourages fat loss and promotes muscle growth. So as you can see there are plenty of little things you can do to help get you going on the right path. If you have any other questio...

It may cause side effects, such as: nausea, drowsiness, skin rash and diarrhea. I have been taking Metformin for about 20 years. What I noticed when I begin to take it was my appetite was significantly decreased. I lost about 12 pounds, which was good. The last 5 years I've noticed I have a difficult time eating out because (1) the food taste too salty and (2) the portions are way too big. Whenever there is a lot of food on my plate my appetite goes away. In the past year I can eat a good breakfast and lunch but dinner is too much. My sister has the same appetite suppression issues I have. The only other time I have experienced these same issues is during my first pregnancy prior to onset of diabetes. I had no sense of taste the entire time I was pregnant and subsequently had a hard time gaining weight. Does anyone else have these same or similiar issues with M...

The dr prescribed me cymgen and I am very afraid of gaining weight as I already struggle with my weight. Is there anything I can do to ensure that I dont gain weight? ## Cymgen contains the active ingredient Duloxetine, which is an SNRI antidepressant and while this class of medications is known to cause some weight gain, it is usually not significant. That's why they are chosen, by many doctors, over the SSRI class, for patients with weight issues. As to making certain you don't gain any, there are a few things you can try that may help. One is to keep track of your eating habits, since this effects brain chemicals, it is highly possible that it could cause your appetite to become increased, which could result in your eating more food than you actually need. As a teenage girl I was obviously self conscious about my body. I had been on dexamethasone twice before and the side effects were minimal. There was the increased appetite and the road rage. I had not gained weight or anything. My disorder pops up for a third time, this time quicker than ever, and once again I'm back on the roids. I figured this time I would try to change for the better. When I did have my increased appetite I ate healthy foods instead of fatty greasy things. I constantly drank water and did everything to prevent gaining weight. As the weeks gradually progressed I felt something different in my face. I felt a tight pressure and my skin tightening. It actually hurt to smile. One day it finally happened. I could not fit into my pants. One day I could and suddenly get...

I've been using Apetito for 2 years now and I sometimes gained weight very fast, like within a week. However I noticed if I stop taking Apetito I end up losing weight. I'd be curious to find out what happens when others stop taking their Apetito pills and if there's any unusual amount of weight loss you may have experienced from doing so? Apetito is okay because it does help increase your appetite, but it really can make you eat a lot which is the reason why you gain weight. I just know that if taken everyday and eating a lot of food then you will naturally end up gaining weight very fast. Yes, Apetito works. ## From what I’ve gathered, Apetito (cyproheptadine) is a prescription medication used to help increase the appetite in people with medical conditions that cause ...

Ever since taking I have been gaining weight like crazy and have had back pain, could it be from meds? ## Hello, William! How are you? Sorry about the problems you're having.
