My son switched from Concerta to the generic version Adderall (b973 orange pill) several months ago. Recently he has been experiencing the following problems - sleeplessness, extreme restlessness, loss of appetite, headaches, upset stomach and even had a bout with vomiting one day. I would like him to change medications but how do we wean him and what medications can you suggest? He is an adult, but does not think it is the medication but believes he needs some other medication to counteract this. Please give me your thoughts. ## You really shouldn't adjust his medications on your own, you need to consult with his doctor about the problems he is having. These are normal side effects to the Mixed Amphetamine salts, for most people they taper off after a few weeks, however, some peopl...

I have used Enemas every since I was six years old. When constipated I will take a stool softener. If no bowel movement on third day I will resort to a two or three quart Enema. I almost always have good results. Sometime will follow with a second salt Enema. Is there any harm for enjoying the results achieved? I do this every two or three weeks. Is there anything wrong with this practice? Any suggestions?

These pills were prescribed for my wife. It says Levothyroxine 50mcg on the bottle label. It has sodium as well. We got it from walmart. ## The actual name of the medication is Levothyroxine Sodium, that doesn't mean it actually contains any significant amount of sodium, that just designates the specific chemical salt that the medication is derived from, you may see some other medication generic names followed by Hydrochloride, or Sulfate. This medication is used to treat thyroid disorders. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, weight changes, mood changes, and hair loss. Is there anything else I can help with?

large oval white tablet with F F imprinted on one side ## white oval tablet printed FF on one side ## Yesterday I found the same oval pill on my son's bedroom. It's not a Fisherman Friend. It's a white with small yellow spots, has a salty taste. I don't know what it is. If you find the answer please let me know. {edited for privacy} ## I located the following photograph of a white oval pill with FF imprinted on one side: [1] WhitePillFF.jpg The image description denotes them as being "FF pills" which couldn't possibly get any vaguer for a pill ID. So while I have this image, their true identity still remains a mystery. I've also come across Fisherman's Friend Tropical mints that look very similar to these and although post #2 says it's not a match...

Prepopik is by far the best and most tolerable bowel prep for colonoscopy! I have tried 3 others in the past, including the pill form, and this new prep was the best for the following reasons: 1. Split dosing, 5 ozs, 5 hours apart. Least amount to have to get down (10 ozs total) 2. No salty, gritty taste. Not thick, actually tastes just like orange soda, very palatable! The prep is what hindered me in going back for my follow up c'scpe until now. ## I forgot to say ask for a coupon for Prepopik from your doctor. ## For bowel prep this worked wonderfully. Took the split dose method at 8pm and 3am for an early morning procedure. 1st dose chased with 24oz of water and 16 more oz within the hour and I was having bowel movements by 45 minutes. I did have to use Vaseline on my second dose...

Hi, on day two I woke up with this horrible metallic acidy bad taste in my mouth, mostly my tongue. I searched the Internet for help. I tried the following: Gargling with salt water, no effect. Gargling with baking soda, no effect. Eating drinking citris - somewhat effective Spraying my mouth with sore throat medicine - short term effect Started taking Zinc- BAD TASTE VANISHED - EFFECTIVE! ## Ironically enough, Chantix does list "having a bad taste in the mouth" pretty much word for word as a general side effect. So I wouldn't be surprised at all if it never went away until you stopped taking the medication. However, I am curious to know whether or not any metallic taste will return after you've continued to supplement with Zinc? If you could keep us posted every now and...

I do agree with a person that posted that about how the pain med population (my words) definitely has a pain chart forum. I’m a tad bit envious, I must say. However, I'm so glad they put it out there! Because from what I read it does help lots of folks. So yes! We need the Adderall/generic (also called Amphetamine Salt Combo-Amphetamine Tab) - there are others but yes let’s do it. We could call it the “Need2Focus4um”... lol. The pain med thread gets to vent. They cheer each other on. I respect that. It’s so vital to get things off your chest. ## On this site anyone who wishes to is totally welcome to create a thread and start discussing their issues, and/or whatever medication(s) they take to help. My mother brought to my attention that anything with the word "hydro" in any medication could be a narcotic. I have a family history of drug abusers and don't want to follow in their steps so I would appriciate it if someone could answer this clearly as possible for me. Thank you for your time. ## Hi Ghost - to answer your question, no, Bupropion Hydrobromide is not a narcotic. It is an antidepressant (in a different class of drugs). The term "Hydro" in this case is from chemistry and refers to a chemical compound of this medication. Wikipedia states "In chemistry, a hydrobromide is an acid salt resulting, or regarded as resulting, from the reaction of hydrobromic acid with an organic base (e.g. an amine). The compounds are similar to hydrochlorides." I imagi...
