is soma similar or in the same categeory as flexiril, and if not, what is the difference between them? is soma stronger and is it a narcotic? ## WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SOMA AND FLEXIRIL ## Soma and flexeril are both muscle relaxers with soma being stronger than flexeril. However, soma also contains aspirin which flexeril does not. ## Thank you, Tracy! Tracy is spot on, except for one thing… Soma does not contain any Aspirin. The active ingredient in Soma is only Carisoprodol, which is a muscle relaxant. You can learn more Soma details here and you can learn more Flexeril details here. The one that contains other ingredients would be called Soma Compound and that one combines Carisoprodol and Aspirin, there is also another that contained both of those with Codei...

How many can i take without getting my liver hurt with the acetaminophen. I hurt my back and I took one about two hours ago but my back is still killing me. Doc also gave me 600mg Motrin and something called flexiril. I'm not a pill popper so I don't know how safe taking all this stuff is. But I can hardly sit anywhere besides a hot tub without extremes pain. Seeing chiropractor next week until then all I got is the hydrocodone the Motrin and the flexiril. HELP anyone please. ## The Watson 385 tablet contains 500mgs of Acetaminophen and 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone, the active ingredients in Vicodin, it is a narcotic pain reliever. I can't tell you how much you can take, before you may suffer liver damage, that can vary from person to person, but I can tell you that anything over 4...

What is stronger a flexiril 10mg or a baclofen 10mg? ## Hello, Harleynana! How are you? These two are about equivalent, though it can depend on what specific muscle spasms are being treated, as sometimes Baclofen can treat spasticity associated with upper motor neuron syndromes, where the other don't. The FDA lists the typical possible side effects as including nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with?

Does flexiril interact well with requip? ## There are no serious interactions listed, however, you should check with your doctor or pharmacist to be sure. The only thing that is warned about is that they can both cause CND depression and respiratory depression, so when used at the same time, you should watch for problematic signs, such as trouble breathing, slowed pulse, sedation and slowed heart rate. Do you have any other questions?

Can you take Cyclobenzaprine (Flexiril) and 292's together? ## What do you mean by 292's? Is that a partial imprint from a tablet? If so, I really can't tell you anything, without knowing the full imprint. Can you please post back with more information? You can learn more Flexeril details here.

WHAT IS THE REAL NAME OF THESE TWO MEDS...I AM ON BOTH.ONE IS FLEXIRIL(CYCLOBENZAPR), WAHT IS OTHER ONE? ## Hi Figgy, They are the same! Just different manufacturers. ## Hi Figgy, Just wanted to provide you with a second opinion and some additional information on comparing the two tablets... Karen is correct. Flexeril is quite simply another brand name for Cyclobenzaprine. Much in the same way an orange is also referred to as a citrus fruit, generic medications such as Cyclobenzaprine also have other names they go by when the same drug is being manufactured by one or more companies who can't copy the same name for legal reasons and therefore have to come up with new names for marketing purposes. However, it should be noted that some manufacturers produce a generic drug as well as a ...

Hi, I am long time anxiety patient - i've been on paxil, buspar, lexapro, zanaflex, remrom, flexiril, tricyciclants, trazodone - you name it. Also, with this I have had bad insomnia. I will not sleep for nights at a time, and it is affecting my work as well as my social life. I have tried (for sleep) Lunesta 2-4mg, Ambien 20mg, Sonata 40mg, and Prosom 2mg. I also aso tried restriol. For anxiety I have been on Ativan, Valium, Klonopin, and Versed. At the time, none of the night medicines work, I will even combine them. My anxiety (which is so common in my family) keeps me up. The problem is, they tend to either prescribe one (sleep medicine) or the other (anxiety). I have insurance, and would be willing to see a doctor. MY GAD is so awful lately, it's maybe Er TIME. So, does anyo...

How safe are the following drugs if expired, and is their general efficacy compromised as well? Vistaril Xanax Flexiril Excedrin Migraine Tylenol with Codeine Ear drops ## Hello, Brad! How are you? In tablet form, none of the medications you've listed become dangerous, once expired, but yes, they do start to lose efficacy and you should dispose of them. The expired liquid ear drops, however, can go bad and could cause problems, if you used them, as listed by the FDA. Liquids are nowhere near as stable as other medication forms. Both Xanax and Codeine carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Which medications can definitely not be used after the expiry date? Thank yo...

I have been on suboxone for 7yrs andi want to switch to another med because of my severe pain which came as a result of a fall @work and being injuryed from an liability accident.i also take naproxen, tramadol, trazodone, flexiril ## Hello, Tonya! How are you? I am very sorry that you're in pain. In most cases, Oxycodone or Morphine is used, if the Suboxone isn't handling your pain. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Have you spoken to your doctor about it?

10 mg tablet for sleep aid ## I need info regarding Bencoprim Ciclobenzaprina ## bencoprim 10 mg prescribed for sleep, is this medication correct? ## can u tell me what the pill looks like. it was bought in mexico ## Benocoprim cyclobenziprina is basically flexiril(cyclobenziprine) which is a mild muscle relaxer that doctors administer for long term muscle pain relief. It helps me with my fybromyalgia also. You will notice the difference after about a week of taking it. Benocoprin cyclobenziprina however is a bootlegged form of it so to speak. Probably coming from Mexico which they do not go by the same drug guidelines as the us fda. My advice is to always be very careful when taking any prescription not FDA approved and if you truly have pain go see a doctor and get the real thing.. ##...

Is this drug a narcotic and is it addictive. ## not positive, i believe it is a form of flexeril a non narcotic muscle relaxer ## The main active ingredient is cyclobenziprine(actual prescription from the doctor that is FDA approved)brand name flexiril.. i believewas the form you're talking about generally is from Mexico which they do not follow the same strict guidelines as the FDA. Always be careful with drugs from uncertain sources. Anyway it is non narcotic muscle relaxer usually administered for long term muscle pain relief as it is pretty mild. I've been on it for years and can stop taking it whenever and only notice the pain gets worse. No withdrawals..so id say no its not addictive and a pretty safe drug to relieve your pain..

How is it all of the sudden I am told 4 days before my due date for 15 Fentanyl patches (100 mcg 1 patch every 2 days) will not be filled because Medicaid doesn't wan't to pay for it? I heard this started in 2012 yet they have been paying for it! It's February 2013 so why the all the sudden very very short notice? This is in Indiana.I also get Flexiril.Thank you in advance. ## I am sorry that you are having such a problem, but I don't have an answer for you. Is this the generic name for Valium? Bencoprim ciclobenzaprina ## small yellow pill with 121 or maybe a line, a 2, and then another line, and on the other side of the pill is an up arrow symbol(a two sided triangle with no bottom ## To the original poster, the US equivelent is Cyclobenzaprine and no, it is not a generic for Valium, this is a muscle relaxant. ## Valium is an anti anxiety / tranquilizer. It is the same as xanax and atavan. Cyclobenzeprine/flexiril is a mild muscle relaxer that is usually administered for long term relief. ## Absolutely not. Not even close. At all. And why are you asking the internet where very few people are honest and true? Advice from randos online is probably less accurate than tossing a coin into the air and calling heads or tails.

I received these big white oval shaped pills over the internet that I believe were supposed to be DHC but are not (not tramadol either which I sometimes order). These are about 3 times the size as DHC and do not have an imprint, a score line, nothing. I took some thinking they were a generic and I just felt kinda out of it and dosed off for like an hour or two then they wore off. They felt nothing like any opiate. Maybe its some type of Flexiril or something. ## Hi Julie, Unfortunately I can't tell you exactly what this pill is since it doesn't have an imprint. It may be what you ordered, but just a very weak formula. Purchasing pills online is very risky, as I'm sure you realize now. Many online companies sell pain medications that are filled with random inactive ingredient...

That doesn't constitute an overdose, since this is just an antibiotic. I took 30 mg by mistake. I was suppose to take 10. Am i in danger? ## bye ## If you aren't certain if your life is in danger, please do not post on a free website and wait for an answer, you should call your doctor or proceed to the nearest emergency care center IMMEDIATELY! That said, this site is not medical professionals, but it is highly unlikely that 30mgs would be enough to do serious damage, this is a muscle relaxant, so it may make you sick, dizzy and knock you out for a few hours, but unless you have a serious allergic reaction, that is about all it will do. My operative question is, if you were supposed to take 1 tablet, how could you mistakenly take 3? ## I have been taking these generic flexiril for years and I can tell you it is not a good idea to take more than you are...
