anyone with experience using Faslodex? How painful are injections? Any tricks to make this more tolerable? What can be done to lessen nausea and vomiting etc? ## HI, I have been taking Faslodex injections for 1 year and 5 months. My oncologist started me on this because the tamoxifen I was taking didn't work for me. The first year I was on Faslodex, I was given one injection a month. In April 2009 I started receiving 2 injections a month. This was after a meeting (discussion) of this product and how well it was working for patients taking it. I started out Stage 0-1, had the lumpectomy. I refused radiation and was prescribed tamoxifen. At my next mammogram I was diagnosed Stage 1 and went with the left breast mastectomy. At that time I was given an oral chemo. After this treatment, ...

I have been taking Faslodex and Zometa for the past 9 months for breast cancer, metasis to the bone. Faslodex was increased to 500mg monthly from 250mg the last 4 months. Has anyone had increased side effects from the increase to 500mg? Back pain, leg cramps, tingling in hands, with aching arms, are just a few. I never know when they are going to start, onset is fast and strong. Much more fatigue, also ## Sorry to read of your condition and I hope your treatments help you beat it. It is normal to experience more side effects any time your dosage is raised on a medication, it should start to taper off as your body adjusts to the new dosage. However, all cancer medications are very harsh on the body, so you will probably always have some side effects. Fasodex contains the active ingredien...

I have gotten 3 shots ( or six if you by one in each bum) each two weeks apart. I have been having severe muscle and bone pain in my legs as well as weakness. Since I have bone mets to my spine that pain is a given. My doc has me on flexeril as well as pain meds. Does anyone know if my body just needs to adjust to this new med? My doctor won't change until I've had a scan after 3 months to see if it is working. If anyone has any suggestions if appreciate it. I usually walk 3-5 miles a day at my job so I am getting exercise. Thanks ## Hello, Andi! How are you? The FDA does report those as being common side effects of this medication. You may also experience depression, diarrhea, irritability and bladder pain. My wife is taking faslodex 500mg, 2 shots in rear. This is her second time and she started severe shaking in her hands. Has anyone else had this and does a lower dose help stop this and/or does this go away? ## Has it improved any? Has she consulted her doctor? I have found listings of various reported side effects, but unfortunately, they are aggregated under categories, such as neurological, rather than specific symptoms. However, I would have to advise that any time you experience unusual side effects, it's always best to consult your physician, as soon as possible.

I experienced severe numbness, tingling and weakness in my left hand, little finger and next finger. Also experienced brain fog so severe I couldn't read and otherwise felt just very sick. This started after I only had two injections of the Faslodex. Symptoms were very scary and so severe I refused to continue the Faslodex. It's been a month and half since I discontinued it and the brain fog is better but still experiencing the hand numbness, tingling and weakness. Praying it gets better....anyone else experiencing these side effects I'm also taking Zometa. ## Its your ulnar nerve.
