I was told today to contact my dr to get my hormone meds change because they were no longer making estratest. Can you comfirm this? ## Yes it has been discontinued. Today i got a refill because the pharmacy still has some left. My problem is the color of the tablets is not the same. I am confused as to the strength. These are light green with IP 78. The others were dark green with 1409 on them. I was on Estratest HS (half srength?). These new light green ones say DS (double strength?) My original light green ones say HS. Not sure what to do. Doctor isn't much help. He just says we need to put me on estrdial which has no testosterone and maybe use a cream, but I want to stay on these as long as I can, they work so well! I actually have an orgasm with these!! (I'm 61) ## Yea I was...

i need EXACT replacement, dosage, for Estratest HS. EXACT. thanks for any help. ## The exact replacement is a new product called Covaryx. It has the same active ingredients as Estratest. This was according to Centrix Pharmaceuticals. ## This whole thing is so strange. Costco would not fill my script for Estratest, or any generic, but Krogers would. I don't know what is going on with this stuff. I know Syntex is a replacement but as far as I can tell, it is unavailable. I have read from the company that the generic will be available soon, it is a matter of reclassifying the drug as a controlled substance because of the testosterone and the abuse of it by men looking for steroids. Thanks for your answer.... ## yeah, and since that is not a generic, i bet it costs a fortune. not that w...

Hello: I have been a long term user of estratest HS. It has been the only medication that has helped me completely. I was very happy with it for 7 years with the brand name, then it was switched to generic EEMT made by Amneal Pharmaceuticals and I continued to be very happy with the product. But...once Amneal stopped making this medication and production was made by ANI pharmaceuticals, the medication was just not right for me. Began to have very uncomfortable systems with the ANI EEMT product such as greasy skin, and insomnia and mood changes. I decided to try and use other hormone replacement therapies and nothing helped. Then I discovered recently that the same generic EEMT product by Amneal pharmaceuticals, was being produced by Seton pharmaceuticals. The color of the pill, and the ...

Estratest is the only hormone that fit me perfectly for weight, attitude, libido, energy, youth. I have been miserable without it. Can't find anything, not even bio's that take it's place. Can we get it in another country - Mexico? Canada? Everything has changed with me since I quit taking it because it's not available in the US. ## Estratest contains the active ingredients, Esterified Estrogens + Methyltestosterone. The company "Solvay" has discontinued the manufacture of Estratest and Estratest HS Have you considered looking at other brands which contain the same active ingredients? side effects. posibility of dizziness, nausea and fainting? ## I've not heard of it causing fainting, but yes, it does regularly cause nausea, dizziness and headache. All medications can have different effects on different people. You may be on the wrong medication for you or on too high of a dosage. Have you spoken to your doctor about this? ## I was on Estratest HS .0625 mg since 1987 after a complete hystrectomy. The pharmacy took me off and has given me Estrogenmtest HS. Is this the same? I know have tender breast which I didn't have on the Estratest. At the time my doctor told me not to take a generic. I agrued with the paharmacist and they said they had to give me the generic for insurance porposes. It was not covered by my insurance company. I had to pay full price. I wou...

green long oval tablet 805 on one side and what appears to be a fancy A on the other side. ## I had complete hysterectomy in 1989. Took no HR after that until I hit 50 and then BAM! So I took Estratest and it worked fast and well for many years. In 2004 the doctor said I should get off it, so I did. Then I went nuts with horrible hot flashes, and decided to get cheaper meds, so they gave me estrogenmtest HS, which is MUCH cheaper. I took only 3X/wk and lately started taking 7 days a week since the flashes came back. I have had headaches and dizziness for days now and even a bit of nausea. I have not gained weight, but I certainly have not lost any weight; I do not eat much, so ... you would expect me to lose something. I never had any reactions to the estratest taken years ago, but now,...

I was on HRT implants for about a year. Had nothing but good results with it, felt great, no weight gain, good drive, lots of energy. The draw back is the cost so my doctor suggested Estratest (generic) I started taking it about two weeks ago, mainly for libido and mental clarity. It makes me dizzy. Even when taking it at night I'm dizzy during the day. I feel the dosage is too low and might need to be increased but with the dizziness only one tablet is causing, I am afraid. Do the symptoms resolve after taking it for some time? ## In theory, they should go away, after your body gets used to it, but with hormones that can take about 3 months. Are you sure that's whats causing the dizziness? What are your blood pressure levels? Have you been dehydrated, at all?

I had to chang to this medicine because I can no longer get estratest. I continue to have pain as if I have a urinary tract infection. The doctor said it was from dry vagina. I have never heard of that. Is this a side effect of this medicine? The pain is terrible. I feel like not taking the medicine at all. I'm always in pain. My doctor did give me some cream to use in my vagina. ## Im having the same problem. Vaginal dryness, i thought this medicine was gonna stop that but i guess not. I stopped taking the medicine. It also gives me mood swings. Im going back to the doctor in november, hopefully he can perscribe something else. ## If you ladies are still having this problem, or if anyone else is looking for information on this same issue, I have some information and advice to provi...

Have been on Estratest HS or equivalent (IP 77) for about 6 or more years. I have no intentions of giving it up any time soon. I am a Nurse Practitioner and have to use my brain for work - as many people do. I could not deal with the hot flashes, poor sleep, lack of concentration and the mood swings of menopause. This med keeps everything pretty level. And, yes, the libido did improve, a nice plus. Did not notice much change when the brand name was discontinued. I may have had a generic all along and not known it. Now I have to deal with the new regulations -- really, does the government agency (ie: stupid bureaucrats) really think that a man would take a dose of Estrogen just to get the little bit of testosterone that is in this tablet? Can this be reversed? Please?

I've been taking the Estratest 1.25/2.5 for years without complications. I was told this was changed to Covaryx and this was generic ...however some say not Generic ..this is confusing.. the price especially..I checked several Phamacies $300 plus..up to $405 (Walgreens) for 90 pills...The pill is yellow for 1.24/2.5 ....pink for HS ## I've been taking Estratest for a few years now and love it....I have been getting it at Walmart for about $55 for 3 month supply....If you use an RX Savings Card you will be amazed at the difference in pricing. My insurance does not cover it - thank goodness that I found this discount - otherwise it is the the $300 range. It is still called Estratest as of 2 months ago. ## I ran into the same problem. A 30 day prescription was going to be nearly $3...

Help. Afraid to ask doc, will probably want me to stop EEMT. I'm 69, feeling great, love the heightened libido, which I attribute to the continued use of Estratest / EEMT. Had a lot of trouble getting my last Rx, but it is still on the market, through ANI pharmacueticals. Have been taking it about 15 yrs. But now, have developed a rash, base of spine and nape of neck. Rash not too bad, itching horrid. Noticed that during the 5 - 7 days it is not taken in the cycle, rash starts to go away. Talked to pharmacist. No solution. Told me that Dr's are no longer prescribing estrogens due to all the warnings. Talked to ANI customer service. No solution, other than discuss with Doc. Maybe suggest the HS instead, but I don't want to lose all the benefits I have enjoyed with this medica...

Hi, I just picked up my prescription for this today as it's the Walmart generic for Estratest HS....not sure how this will work. I'd always used the name brand in the past, but with no insurance, $9 seems very reasonable to me! Have you started taking yours yet?

I took generic Estratest HS for years. On the last order after about a week I started to break out into hives. The dermotologist stated it was internal and since I don't take any other medication he suggested I get off the Estratest. Hives are better but not completely gone. How long does it take to get out of your system? I was on the new generic for about a month before we figured out what it was giving the hives. Thanks.
