this pill is about the size of a sweet tart has a e on one side and an s3 or es on the other. what is it?! ## I believe the marking is meant to be a logo lower case A and ES and it contains 250mgs of Erythrocin, it is an antibiotic. If the pharmacy don't have clithromyocin what would be a good substitute ## Hi Florence, Based on my research, Clarithromycin is in a group of drugs classified as Macrolide Antibiotics. Below is a list of a couple other medications that are also classified as Macrolide Antibiotics. -Dificid generic name: fidaxomicin -Erythrocin generic name: erythromycin -Zithromax generic name: azithromycin You may be able to use one of the medications I listed as a substitute for Clarithromycin, but they are still different medications and may effect you differently; so to be safe I would consult a doctor or pharmacist before hand.
