Endo Oxycodone

I have been taking endocet 10/325 for yrs . Several my pharmacy has been out and given me oxycodone 10/325. I find I have to take 2 oxycodone a to 1 endocet . Why is that ? There can be slight differences in the amount of the active ingredients, between the name brand and generics, so if you're used to the name brand and then receive a generic that might be slightly lower, it would only be normal to have such a problem. I HAVE BEEN ON OXYCODONE FOR OVER 2 YEARS AND MY DRUG STORE RAN OUT AND GAVE ME ENDOCET? SAID IT WAS THE SAME THING BUT MY BODY TELLS ME THAT IT'S NOT THE SAME. I got endocet for my last prescription vs oxycodone and tylenol and it doesnt seem to be giving me the same results - is it true it could have different fillers in it therefore not making it the same ## Yes ## It is not only the fillers that can be different, there can also be differences in the active ingredients between a name brand and a generic. The FDA does allow them to differ by as much as plus or minus 20%, they consider this to be an acceptable therapeutic difference. So, for instance if you are used to taking a certain generic that may have more of the active ingredient in it and you suddenly switch to the name brand that the FDA is more strict about, so it just has the exact amount, you could have problems from getting a lower dose and may find it is not as effective for you....

I get 10 mg. Endocodil in Mexico made by BioGenTec. It is supposed to be the same as the oxycontin prescribed to me in the U.S. However it is not the time released version that I prefer, and is very expensive. I have 3 levels of herniated Lower Lumbar discsw which need replacing with prodisc but my insurance doesn't cover it. I was on Morphine for almost a decade and I am in constant pain. I work as much as possible but it is very physical work that I do so I need to get back onto some form of pain treatment which I haven't had in about 1 1/2 years now. I don't get much sleep because I am rolling around in pain constantly so I also am an insomniac as well. I don't seem to be getting help from any doctors anymore and am looking for any hlp I can get. My Pharmacy just gave me the blue pill with the U23 on it and so far it seems to be working the same if not somewhat better than the smaller blue pills that I had prior. Seems lately that whatever type of Oxycodone I take is having an adverse effect on me and making me very tired after a few hours. I never had that problem before. ## I believe the U23 are manufactured by Aurobindo. I've had that manufacturer in percocet form and it wasn't the worst. It's acceptable and works for the pain but has more side effects than it should. It seems like all of the generics as of late are really lacking in efficacy. Endocet contains the active ingredients, Acetaminophen + Oxycodone, while an Oxycodone tablet in and of itself is the only active ingredient. Is the generic for Percocet 10/325 also called Endocet 10/325? Is it the same strength or is hydrocodone different? I take endocet 10/325 on a daily basis for back pain and more so, nerve damage, that after a noninvasive back surgery procedure I had, in my legs. My right leg is very weak and after standing about 5 minutes my left leg goes numb from the knee to my foot. I have been taking for about 3 yrs now and they do seem to help; especially in the AM when I get up...cannot move without taking 1, have tried many times. I used to take half an Oxycodone 5/500 as needed for cervical for neck pain and it worked fine. Last night I took a whole dose for the first time because of sever stomach pain from vomiting all day. I may have eaten something bad the day before but there was nothing more in my stomach and the pain kept me awake (but I was exhausted from the ordeal). My refill is Endocet 5-325. I guess I had an allergic reaction because my feet started burning in the middle of the night and I was going insane. I take 1 OxyCod/acetaminophen 7.5-325 mg tab would 1.5 tab hurt I still feel some pain knee surgery. ## Hello, Ken! How are you? I saw on here the difference between Endocet and oxycodone or Percocet. Well I have had scripts for both. If I could get Endocet I would take it over ANY other pain pill out there. I don't like to feel the rush of my meds. Then I enjoy them. I like to feel that my meds are working. There's a difference. I am basically allergic to everything but Endocet dilaudid and oxycodone. Hi. I am a 58yo female with a 6 yr old back injury, was diagnosed and have had surgery/treatment for breast cancer - all clear. Menopausal flushes have returned with an absolute whack. At the moment I take 10mg of Endone before getting out of bed. Last night I started Gabapentin 300mg. I work 10hr days, with Tuesdays off so okay to take Gabapentin this morning as no driving/concentration at work not an issue. Does anyone else take this combination of meds? I was getting watson 5-325 oxycodone from a pharmacy that my health insurance recently dropped from my coverage. The other pharmacies in my area do not carry the watson brand. I've tried 3 different pharmacies 3 different manufacturers and none seem to work as well as the watsons. I'm down to my last pharmacy which carries endocet brand of the oxycodone I need. was taking 10/325 endocet for a couple weeks, doc knew that I was taking 1 and a 1/2 at a time, switched me to 15mg oxycodone no Tylenol little green ones, they are not working that well, b 4 it was 15mg oxy with 550 mg Tylenol...he doesn't want me to take Tylenol really, is it to much to ask him for the 30mg oxycodone instead, cause with eating breakfast, lunch etc and my weight 270pds...its tuff to get pain relief from the 15mg and even adding another half of a 15mg...just wonder if anyone has any advice or knows what I am trying to say...or if anyone has or is in this situation...I new here. any comments or suggestions would be great...how do I know when someone answers or comments on my questions? thx T-bone ## I see this is an old post but thought someone else might find this i...
