I have been taking Teva Duloxetine 60 mg everyday since 2008 for fibromyalgia. My last refill my pharmacy switched manufactures to Solco. They said same thing. IT WAS NOT! My fibromyalgia is worse and I am dizzy and can hardly walk. I feel like I am going through withdrawal. Pharmacist is changing me back. Solco didn't seem like it was the same strength and may be since the capsules were a lot smaller! ## Was this through Walgreen's? Was told the same when picking up my sister's 30mg prescription yesterday and saw that the pills were different. She didn't start taking the pills yet bcuz she still has 3 of the Teva brand left over. I'm afraid they won't take them back if there is a problem once she begins taking the new brand. The pills were like $400. Manufacture...

You ma also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, anxiety, and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with?

Learn more Duloxetine details here. Does anyone else have any advice or experiences to share? ## I took Duloxetine 20mg for 1 year. I've recently been prescribed Epitec in the evening and Duloxetine for chronic pain syndrome. I suffer from anxiety and depression. Sometimes I experience panic disorder, also borderline bipolar. I've been taking Tramacet in the morning and Cipramil and pax in the evening. I feel afraid to start my new meds... ## Hello, Stoffel! How are you? The U.S. FDA lists the typical side effects of Epitec as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, mood swings and weight gain. Duloxetine may cause nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight changes. What issues are you afraid of? Perhaps if you're more specific, those can be addressed to better help you. I've been on 60 mg. of duloxetine for neuropathy for 3 months and I've lost nearly 20 pounds. My appetite is nearly nonexistent and I can't tolerate the sight of most foods. Is there anything to counter this side-effect? ## Hello, Buddz! How are you doing? Has there been any change There is really no way to counteract them, but usually such side effects are transient and go away, after about 4 to 5 weeks, once your body gets used to a medication, as detailed by the NIH. Given that it has not gone away for you, it would be best to have it checked out by your doctor, as you may need to try a different medication. Is this the only medication you are taking? ## Thanks for replying, Verwon. My neurologist changed my medication to amitriptylene. It's been a few days and I stil...

Okay, we all suspect that phthalates are bad for you-- they mess up the reproductive system in lab animals. Cosmetic manufacturers are scrambling to remove them from their products because women are afraid they may be absorbed thru the skin. So why is the FDA allowing this suspect stuff to be in medications you take orally... like the generic Cymbalta (duloxtetine, 20mg) manufactured by Citron??? Especially since the majority of people having problems the drug treats, are women. ## The hypromellose phthalate that is listed as an inactive ingredient is an FDA approved excipient. NDC: 57237-0019 While there has been some concern about phthalates, there has been no definitive study proving them to be dangerous, so they are still approved to be used in medications, in limited amounts. It is...

Is Teva Duloxetine gluten free? I have severe celiac and am trying to find out if this manufacturer is making this product gluten free? Please help! ## Hello, Cecee! How are you? Can you please post back with the markings on it? That is what would enable me to research this information for me. The FDA warns that the typical side effects of Duloxetine may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, mood swings and weight changes. ## I don't know about the Teva version, but the one I take, made by Citron, has no gluten. ## I stopped taking Venaflaxine XR 75mg. after 17 years. I have many debilitating disabling chronic health problems, auto-immune disease & started getting Fibromyalgia pain about 5 years ago. IS THERE A DRUG THAT CAN DO WHAT DULOXETINE60MG WITHOUT CAUSEING YOU TO GAIN WEIGHT? ## Hello, Vickie! How are you? What are you taking it to treat? This information would better enable me to answer your question. For example, if you're taking it for anxiety and/or depression, then I'd suggest asking your doctor about Prozac/Fluoxetine. It is classified by the FDA as an SSRI antidepressant and is well known to not cause the weight gain than many others do. As a matter of fact, it has sometimes caused weight loss, along with nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth.

Has anyone noticed a difference between the two manufacturers of Duloxetine X 20 and Teva 7543. They are supposed to be the same (just different manufacturers), however, I'm noticing the X 20 doesn't seem to work as well for my fibromyalgia. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Thanks ## Sorry...I meant X 02. I typed the incorrect order accidentally. ## They both contain 30mgs of Duloxetine, according to FDA listings. It is often used to treat depression, some forms of nerve pain, panic, and anxiety disorders. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, mood changes, and weight changes. Thank you, Julie, no worries about the order, people do that frequently. My Dr prescribed this TEVA 7543 for my chronic lower back pain. How does it work? I don't have depression and Duloxetine is an antidepressant. ## The FDA has discovered that many medications in this class can also help with certain types of nerve pain, but it may take 4 to 5 weeks, before you know how well it will work for you. Its typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood swings, and weight gain. How long have you been taking it? ## Going to start Dulan (Duloxetine) 20 mg with Inderal. I have pain in my arms, shoulder and neck. Especially at night. I feel swimmy and very out of body, sort of. I don't have any sense of time and seem pretty confused. i have taken two 30 mg capsules, one yesterday morning, and one this morning. I plan to never touch one again. Any thoughts or advice? And to all who suffer, may you win your battles in your time and find sweet rest. Thanks. ## Hello, Rick! How are you doing? Those can be normal side effects, when you first start this medication. Things usually improve, after about 4 to 6 weeks, once your body adjusts to the medication. Cymbalta's generic, Duloxetine, was given to me by my pharmacy without notifying me of the change. I'd been taking Brand at night, 120 mg. for four plus years and the drug made a tremendous difference in quality of life. On the generic I had insomnia from the get go, felt depressed and exhausted during the day, and didn't figure it out for several days because the generic capsules are exactly the same colors as the Brand. (There ought to be a law...) Dr. suggested I then try taking it in the morning; then at dinnertime, but was still unable to sleep for more than three hours at a time, even after thirty hours of wakefulness. Feeling spaced out during the day made it Impossible to function normally, and eyes were still wide open at night. After a couple of weeks I felt like s...

I've been taking generic Cymbalta Duloxetine for 6 months, since my insurance quit paying for the brand name. I've found that it made me more tired and more depressed. I changed to taking it at bedtime with much better results. Has anyone else observed any differences in the generic Cymbalta? ## I felt the same way with the generic. It seemed it did more harm than good. My moods were all over the place. I also gained 20 pounds in 6 months. So glad im off it now! ## Hello, Mark! How are you? If it was due to the fact that it was a generic, then the time of day you take it would not have made a difference. Those can be normal side effects of this medication, plus just life and stress in general could have made your depression worse, for a period of time. Other side effects to this...

Other typical side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight gain. Is there anything else I can help with?
