Dr S In San Diego For Pain Medication

I am moving to San Diego in a month or so and am prescribed morphine sulfate 2 times daily for spinal stenosis and degenerative disk disease and I'm afraid that I will have a hard time finding a doctor that will continue my treatment.I am also on flexeril, gabapentin and another med for depression.I have contacted a few doctors out there but no one seems to be willing to continue the treatment I now receive. I am a chronic pain patient with a Legitimate Condition and tired of being treated like a drug abuser because of people that DO abuse meds like this one! I've also ran the gambit of Pain Management clinics that seem to only want to inject steroids in your spine & also physical therapy and you name it. I am a RSD patient that felt fortunate I only took 3 1/2 years to be diagnosed. For the last 8 years , in East Tn,I have been taking oxycontin and oxycodone, now some new law is passed and I can no longer get my Rx from my pain Dr, because they don't have the license required to be able to write Rx as large as my past (which I have become very use to & are working less than in pass) so I am sent to a clinic with this license. I have been going to a methadone clinic for approximately 8 years. Hi Dr. I'm 49 years of age and I have cronic Osteoarthritis on both knees, both wrists and hands, lower back and left shoulder. I've been taking meds for 10 years (give or take). I used to live in San Diego and after trying all kinds of medication the Dr. ended giving me morphine ER 30mg and Norco 10/325. I was taking 3 to 4 morphines daily and 6 to 8 Norcos daily. With time he pump me up to 60mg instead of 30mg of the morphine. Since I couldn't work anymore, I lost everything and had to move to L.A. county where I have relatives. I need a new dr that will prescribe my klonopin and percocet. Either that or a mail order Ican get it thru. My dr retired. ## You can't get either one without seeing an actual doctor for a regular exam/evaluation. Those are prescribing requirements. And under the new laws, you'll most likely not be able to get both from the same doctor, since medications required for any type of long-term pain management will have to be prescribed by a pain management doctor. I need help finding a Dr in east county or San Diego that will prescribe klonopin or ativan. Ive had anxiety and panic attacks plus some stress from 2 near fatal car accidents. My medical records are exstensive and do include previous prescriptions for benzos. I just was released from the hospital with an ativan script. My county or medical funded psyche won't hear of it. I understand the laws, though I am physically and mentally disabled I feel like no one will help me. I would very much appreciate being pointed in the right direction. I live in San Diego cal my doc has cut me back so much I'm always in pain don't feel good... in the last 4 months he has cut me back 30 of my 30mg oxy & 90 of my norcos... can any one help my out I have a disk in plant in my l4/l5 don't no what to do all I've been hearing is how its hard to get a doc to write for such high doses..at one time I was at 180 of the 30 oxyc &180 norco ..next month he wants to drop me 30 more of my oxy I can't do it.... ## Hello, Brittany!
