Will Subutex show up on a 8 panel drug screen? ## It really depends on what the place is looking for; While there is a Buperenorphine (Suboxone) specific drug test, not many places use it. According to my research, most places don't drug test for Suboxone at all. This is not to say that it will never show up, but it is unlikely. If you do think you are at risk for it showing up, I would suggest informing them that you are on it, under a doctor's care. But from the majority of information i've read on the subject, you shouldn't be too concerned about it even showing up. The half-life of Suboxone is anywhere between 24-72 hours; so I would suggest giving yourself a week or longer if you think you are going to be testing "specifically" for Suboxone. I have been taking subutex for a few months and I have to be drug tested to start a new job. I am prescribed them but to embarrassed to tell my employer. I have a mouth swab drug test on Friday. Today is weds and I have been taking subutex every day for 2 years, I am 145 pounds and have high metabolism. How long does the subutex stay in your saliva? I am currently taking suboxone but if i take a half of subutex will it show up when i go to my next doctor's appointment? ## The active narcotic in both Suboxone and Subutex is Buprenorphine, the only difference is that Suboxone also contains Naloxone, to prevent the use of other opiate while you're being treated with it. Thus, they will both be detected as the same thing. The only problem you may run into is if they check your levels of it, because then your levels may be off, if you've taken extra medication. Im taking subutex. I ran out so I took a suboxon. It has the blocker in it. They can be used to detect Methadone, that is what they were originally designed to test for, but only if it has been taken while wearing the patch. I am on suboxone and i have my doc appointment tmrw and I've took subutex 2 days before my appointment. Will the subutex show up different than suboxone on my urine dip stick drug test? ## Subutex shows up as Suboxone its the same thing. Subutex just don't have naloxone in it. ## No it will show as a bupe either one is fine. Trust me!!

I am currently prescribed Suboxone, but my doctor gave me 2 Subutex due to the lower cost. I do consume marijuana. I have tried dissolving a piece of Suboxone in clean urine before and the test showed up positive for opiates. Since Subutex is missing the opiate-blocker, if I use someone else's clean urine and sprinkle some Subutex in it will it show up for opiates? I know they test to see if Suboxone is in your urine, but do they test for Subutex also? ## They both contain the same opiate, Buprenorphine and would be detected as such if they are testing for it. will subutex show up on sweat patch if used while patch is on? ## They have to be using one that specifically looks for the Buprenorphine, because it isn't included in the standard tests, it's basically still too new. Question: I'm in a program and receive Subutex (buprenorphine) from the Dr., 8 mg. I take one and a half pills 20 days out of the month, but for reasons I do not wish to disclose, the last ten days of the month I only had about 1 and a half pills to last me, so I'd say for the past ten days I've been taking about 1 mg a day. I took a very small piece of Subutex this morning. I haven't taken Subutex in a week and half but I have a drug test tomorrow morning. Will it show up on a drug test? ## Yes it will show up in the morning. I never use over a crum to take the nite before my drug screen. Im supposed to take subutex every day. I havent taken any in 10days. I have to give a UA for my doctor to make sure im taking it. If i take .5mg of subutex on monday at 8am. I am on subutex but my boyfriend gets suboxone strips n always wants a few of mine so I give em to him n he gives me strips back in return. My Dr has a drug screen that is a mile long.
