I take 10 milligram oxycodone, 4 times a day. My doctor said my urine test showed morphine, but I don't take morphine, so why would that be? ## Did you ever find out????? They have to be specifically testing for Oxy though, which often times, a standard 5/6 panel test like the ones "typically" used in pre-employment, are not (testing for Oxy, that is)

Morphine, however, is not synthetic, so that's not one they've been reported to cause a false positive for. The Oxymorphone is distantly related to Morphine, but it is not the same substance and, therefore, the metabolites that it creates in the body, which would be detectable on a drug test, are different. Man the amount of people who have no clue what they are talking about yet spitting advice on it like they are an expert is bewildering. NO FENTANYL does not show up as an opiate on any test anywhere. In fact the only things that will show up as an opiate are morphine, codeine, and heroin and that is because heroin and morphine metabolize into morphine. Not even oxycodone or hydrocodone can be detected as an opiate they have to be specifically tested for as they metabolize differently, same with methadone, methadone has to be specifically tested for, it will not show up as anything but methadone. I see my pain management doctor every month to get new scripts of my pain meds. On 6/1 l had a urine test. l am currently on 1-10mg tablet of oxycodone 4x a day, and a duragesic 50mc/gh patch - 1 patch every 48 hours. However my test results show morphine. After doing some research I found out the company my pm office used to use was miratech and was recently purchased by vantari. l have been on these medications for the last 22 years and been religiously tested and passed each and every time, but with the recent purchase of miratech by vantari, they use different cutoff points.
