Most standard urine tests do not, they just test for drug classes and concentrations, such as opiates, Benzodiazepines and Amphetamines. Are you currently taking some sort of opiate? I went to my suboxone doctor today and it showed up as opiates. He asked me if I had relapsed and I said 'no, what are you talking about?' He said it showed positive for opiates, so now I have to go back in the morning. Hi. I go to the methadone clinic and have for about 2 years. I haven't done anything but my methadone in about a year and a half. One of my urine tests came up positive for opiates. They did a second test of the same sample and it showed positive for morphine. I haven't done morphine in about 10 years. I've passed many a five panel with dones in my system. It's my go to as my employer drug tests frequently. ## Summel is correct, Methadone is not something that is usually included on standard drug tests, it requires special screening that is specifically looking for it, according to NIH studies. I have found conflicting answers to this question on the internet and think that it may well depend on how sophisticated the drugs test is and how detailed the analysis is. The reason I say this is that I attend a methadone clinic and have to give a urine test every 2 weeks. I take methadone daily and the test is negative but the week I took tramadol and the test came back positive for opiates. I went to see the doctor about this she confirmed that tramadol did make the test positive for opiates.
