I used to take high doses of narcotics for severe neuropathy pain. That crap almost killed me and destroyed my life, leaving me destitute and homeless. I had to move in with my sister, and then some friends to stay off the street. I have been taking lyrica for several years and it helped, even while on the narcotics. Since going off the narcotics, I have relied entirely on Lyrica to deal with the pain. My doctor changed my dosage about a month or so ago to 300mg twice a day and soon to 300mg three times a day. The difference has been amazing and the neuropathy pain is almost completely gone while the Lyrica is in effect. I do have some side effects though, like headaches, dizziness, sleepiness but I don't care. Anything is preferable to the pain, except for narcotics. ## Lyrica has ...

I'm testing positive for Lyrica and I've never taken anything except methadone. Why would I test positive for Lyrica?? I tested positive for thc but that's for good reason. But that's all I do. Why would I be testing positive for lyrica? That's what they called it. ## Same thing happened to my husband today. He takes a host of medications for psychiatric problems and for diabetes and high blood pressure. But he does not take Lyrica or gabapentin. I can't find any answers on the web. It's driving as both nuts. It's not a narcotic so I don't even think they would give a crap but apparently it's becoming a new it dried to abuse so I don't know. ## I just had the same issue. I've had trouble with my since I was very young. I was diagnosed with scoliosis when I was in 4th grade. Now my curve has worsened, 52 degrees curved. Plus my disks are crumbling. They don't want to do surgery due to my age and the complications associated with the surgery. They have told me there's nothing they can do for me. I am taking Cymbalta, Celebrex, Lyrica, Tizadine, Tramadol 200 my time release pill. I am having really pain more so than ever due to the curve. I'm trying to force myself to stand up with out looking pathetic. I can't cope with this any longer. Will a 75 mcg/hr fentanyl patch help with dilaudid withdrawal? ## Tramadol 50 mg x 2 tablets is the only thing that works for me when I can't find a pharmacy to fill my Dilaudid. I have heard it helps with Oxy and other pain reliever withdrawals. The stupid Commonwealth of Kentucky has outlawed Tramadol and Lyrica is highly regulated because it helps with withdrawals. Yes, they are living in the stone age. So, Tramadol must work for others as well. i try to stop methadone use.i begin lyrica 300mg and slov methadone 5mg for a weak(40mg now).is it right? ## this site is not medical professionals and cannot possibly say what tapering schedule is right for you. Your doctor must decide this based on how long you've been using the Methadone and how high of a dosage you were taking. Methadone is a very potent narcotic and even with tapering, you may still experience some withdrawal effects such as: nausea, dizziness, chills and diarrhea. The best thing I can advise you to do is follow your doctor's advice. Have you tried speaking to them about any concerns you may have?

Hi, I have severe Nerve pain caused by Pudendal Neuralgia. I won't take Endone because of the constipation it causes which makes the Nerve pain worse. I have been prescribed oxycodone 5 mg. IMM REL capsules to be taken 2-3 every 4 hrs. for shingles pain. I have never taken this before, however I have chronic pain due to a right hip injury 6 years ago and normally take fiorinal #3 for that and also migraine headaches.
