I took my loestrin 8 hours late (should have taken at 10pm but took at 6 an) and then I took my next pill as well at the same time. Because of this I have gone from taking my pill at night to taking it in the morning during the same pill packet. I had intercourse 3 days later. Am I considered to be safe? (Late pill happened on day 4) ## Hi, Ann! The problems arise from missing pills, which would mean taking it 24hours or more late. As long as you still took it in that time frame, you should still be protected against pregnancy, but should check with your doctor to be certain. And taking two at once could cause a surge in hormones that may throw off your cycle, so you may get some breakthrough bleeding, or your period may be irregular this month. Is there anything else I can help with?

so i have a mild form of crohns started with just diarrhea and abdominal discomfort on right side. i started taking pentasa 2 pills 4 times a day for the first few months in january and it was working great bowel movements were normal and pain went away. since may i started having the abdominal discomfort on and off. don't know if i should change my medicine or what ## Have you consulted your doctor? They are really the one person qualified to help you discover if a medication adjustment, or different medication would be necessary. In addition, are you also watching your diet? It is a necessity for someone with Crohn's, because they medications can't possibly keep everything under control if you just eat whatever you like.

I didn't know there is a 12 month implant of naltrexone. How would one go about getting it ## I've heard from someone that naltrexoneimplanteurope provides it, it's something like refindyour way. Try to google. ## Hi D, I'm not sure where you're located, but I just wanted to offer an additional option for other readers. In the US there's also The Coleman Institute (TCI) that provides patients with 12 month Naltrexone implant therapy. Their toll free number is 877-773-3869. Perhaps you could contact them for more specific details. I can also confirm that the detox center post #1 mentioned does the same thing. However, since they are based in Europe (and if you live in the US), pursuing treatment through them may turn out to be more trouble than it's worth, at ...

I am 9 months out of L3-S1 fusion and ligament repair, still unable to work and still suffering from the side effects of "F" word as i call it and oxycodone and neurontin. The combo of all of them make me nuts. I am hoping to taper in May but my doctor made no mention of tapering until i did. I am concerned that they knoe i am not going to get better so they are not concerned. However, i don't k ow that i am improving any more. I improved until end of Feb. And then i started having more pain, the pain in my legs and hip came back and numbness in feet. I am convinced i have permanent nerve damage. The dr said the numbness may never go away. I have been experiencing withdrawal symptoms. I am wondering if its because i have been on the same dose of F, OC's and neurontin sin...

When I had my prescription filled the pharmacist mentioned that at some point I may feel like it's not working anymore - She said that it would be a mistake to stop taking it. Does that mean it will kick in again after some time? ## Our bodies do tend to get used to anything we take over a long period of time, according to NIH reports, but there is no specific time frame that can be applied. it can vary from person to person. And no, it will usually not start working, again, unless you take a break from it, and try something else for awhile, in the meantime. How is it working for you, so far? Has there been any change?

Are you on any other medications? Has anything in your diet changed recently? Have you had this checked out by your doctor? ## Hi... I'm currently experiencing all the side effects of an allergic reaction to purbac. I have been using it for a month and developed this allergic reaction. Hi I took an emergency contraceptive within 14 hours of having intercourse. ten days later I had withdrawl bleeding.and now again within 15 days of my withdrawl bleeding i have got my period again. I'm worried if i am pregnant or what is wrong .Please help ## Hello, Risha! How are you? These emergency contraceptives use hormones to prevent pregnancy, which means that they can also disrupt your natural hormone cycle. It's not likely that you're pregnant, if you've had these bleeding episodes, but it may take a few weeks for things in your body to balance back out to return to normal. Have you consulted your doctor? It's always best to do so, just to be extra safe. ## Hi Verwon, Thanks for your reply ....I'm still on my period..cramping is more than usual ...just f...

I am using Diane 35 for 5 years now because of my PCOS and I didn't take any pill on my 1st day of menstruation last April because we were planning to conceive but the plan was changed and I want to go back in taking pills again. Today is my 30th day of no pill, is it safe if I will take Diane again even without a period? ## If you aren't pregnant, yes, you can start taking it, again. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, irregular bleeding, spotting, and PMS-like symptoms. Has there been any change? ## Nothing changes. I only experienced headache ever since I started taking pills. And I'm not yet pregnant until now. I have read before that it can cause blood clot when you take Diane-35 when you don't have...

Hi there, I got my jadelle out over a month ago and I still havent had my period, should I be purchasing a pregnancy test? ## Have you had unprotected intercourse since having it removed? If so, then yes, a pregnancy test would be wise. Jadelle will only protect you from pregnancy as long as it is in and actively working. If you've no had unprotected relations, then it may just be due to your body trying to rebalance your hormones, as using a hormonal contraceptive such as this can throw them off for awhile. ## Hi. I was using Jadelle for one year and I removed it. I need to know the side effect after removing it. I put it in for five years and experienced long periods of bleeding. How should I remove that poison in my body? ## I have removed jadelle after 6 months with no conceptio...

I have been taking Cymbalta for 2 months now. I was extremely nauseous for one week on 30 mg. I waited a few weeks and then upped my dose to 60 mg. I keep waiting for the nausea to go away. I am almost at 2 months now, and I get nauseous (not severe, but really yucky) at least 2X per day. I have to take an anti nausea drug to stop it. Has anyone else been nauseous for a long period of time on this drug? Did it ever go away? ## Are you saying you're getting the nausea, even at other times and not just when you take it? If so, then I'm suspicious that it may not be from the Cymbalta. I mean it's possible, because there's no way to say how a medication will affect any particular person that takes it, but it's not common. These types of medications usually only cause nau...

I had a MI on Jan 24th of 2016 and had a DES inserted. I have been on plavix for 9 months and the side effects are destroying my life. I am still taking aspirin. But have stopped plavix. It's been 2 days. I want to use Nattokinase instead of plavix. Has anyone used this and should I use it with aspirin or stop the aspirin and just take the NATTOKINASE? Hello...After taking oleanz 2.5 mg for 4 months i have put on weight. Now it's difficult to reduce. Can u please help and suggest how many months it may take before I'm back to my normal weight?....So far it's been 3 months since i stopped taking oleanz. ## That can be a typical side effect of this medication, as reported by the NIH. There is really no way to say how long it may take for you to lose the weight, that is dependent on your metabolism, diet, and exercise. What types of foods do you eat? How much exercise do you get? How old are you? Are you on any other medications?

My midwife prescribed me valcyclovir. I'm in my last month of pregnancy and have been taking the m122 tab for almost a month now, once a day and I still have outbreaks. How many should I take without hurting my baby? I dont want to have a c section. I have about 29 days left in my pregnancy, if he doesn't come early and im just trying to figure out what to do to get rid of the outbreaks and keep them gone until after I have my baby. I got another outbreak today and have been on the pill for weeks now, like 3 going on 4, and I dont think my midwife knows what shes talking about. ## Are you certain that it's herpes? It very rarely breaks out like that, there are usually times where you are definitely symptom free and it recurs every few months, not several times a month. If it...

I got off ampyra after taking for 3 months because I felt it did not help my walking and caused other problems. I was not happy putting up with insomnia but was willing to tolerate if it was a tradeoff with walking. Since being off the medicine for one week my walking is terrible and balance worse than when I started. Has anyone else noticed problems when they stopped taking medicine after a 3 month period. I still feel the ampyra did not help but do not understand why I am worse off now than when I started the med. ## Sounds like we had the same results. I tried Ampyra for three months, during which time my walking actually seemed to slow a bit. I stopped using it when I got a nasty UTI, which gave me symptoms similar to an MS exacerbation. It took two rounds of antibiotics to finally ...

I started taking Contrave in February and have lost 24 pounds so far. It worked really well for my appetite and cravings. I have noticed the last couple of weeks it is not effective and has not been curving my appetite and cravings. Is this normal and can I do anything do "reboot" so it is effective again? ## This is happening to me too.. on it for 5 months and I seem hungry a lot more now. Curious to see if anyone has any input on this slowdown. ## This is exactly what has happened to me in the last week or so. It's as if I am not taking it at all anymore. It's very expensive to build up a resistance to, if that is what's going on. I can't take any more of them, I am at the highest dose as I have been on it for 6 weeks or so. After that have watery clear discharge and every day have wear something ... My estrogen level is too high please help me ## It could be that this is the wrong oral contraceptive for you and you may need to switch to a different one. Have you consulted your doctor about the problem? The FDAl lists the other typical side effects of oral contraceptives as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and weight gain. Though, it can be normal to experience irregular bleeding for the first 3 months, after starting oral contraceptives.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, nervousness and insomnia.
