After a long career as a Firefighter and suffering through various injuries on the job I think I have tried a lot of different meds. A quick health history. Separated shoulder, broken ribs, surgery on both knees and back( L4-L5, S1). My narcotic history in order was Tylenol 3 and 4. Percocet, OxyContin up to 120mg a day, statex ,MS Contin, Dilauded, Butrans and finally now on Fentanyl 100 MCG every 48 hours I'm worried I have hit my narcotic wall and I'm worried that if any other more painful health issues come up I won't be able to get proper pain relief. Any experiences or medical opinion would be appreciated

After walking down a stretch of county hwy at the age of 14 , out of nowhere an old hull size ran truck hits me , throws me so many yards, finally landing on top of me, after being presumed dead. Hi, I was prescribed 180mg of codeine phosphate for on-going back pain, BUT I decided to give subutex a go, as advised by a friend. However since taking subutex for just 7 weeks @ 10mg I absolutely hate them. I'm depressed & my anxiety has got worse :( Could going back on codeine help with stopping the awful subutex? I have been on buprenorohine 8mg, 3 times a day for the last 3 years for pain management. I have fibromyalgia, chronic back pain, and other pain issues. I am in so much pain and was wondering what med is better for pain. ## Sorry to hear about the extent of your pain. However, it's important to know that what works for someone else may not necessarily work the same for you. While tramadol is often touted as a much weaker pain medication than your typical narcotic, (i.e percocet), I'm sure it also depends on several underlying factors (such as one's tolerance to pain meds, severity of pain, etc...) I would probably place my bet on the percocet being stronger though. But it sounds like you should definitely discuss this with your doctor if you've been contemplating this for a while. Stronger doesn't always mean better...at least when it comes to tapering off. I hope this helps!

My husband, just had a rod takin out of his leg, and the gave him 10mg oxycodone, but one isnt helping. Wanted to see how many he could take safely to help with the pain.... ## It's kind of difficult to say given the limited information in your post. How tolerant is he to opiates? Someone that's used to taking them regularly can tolerate much higher doses safely, than someone that rarely takes them. The best suggestion I can make is to call his doctor and tell them that the current dose isn't helping.

This is to answer the question is there a higher dose form of norco the answer is yes it's called Zohydro it was made here in San Diego and has been approved by the Fda and Sea but it might be hard to find and the insurance company might not cover it, it's and extended version kinda like oxycontin for oxycodone and it comes in different doses. I've been on oxycotin 80 mg.es, now because of Insurance reasons, Now I'am on Morphine Sulphate 100mg. es, How do they compare and what are the pros and cons? ## The Morphine is not as strong as the Oxycodone, hence the higher dosage being necessary. Otherwise, they are both effective narcotics and they pretty much share the same cons, like the side effects: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth and constipation. I was perscribed vicodin 750 es and then norco was told they were same and also available under other names.
