My doctor just prescribed me dextroamp-amphet er 10 mg , I haven't take it yet, but after I google it I'm freaking out, cause everybody had a super bad experience :/ and I just stared a new job...what should I do? I wat to know why m son not eating like he was before he took this medicane ## It is a stimulant that's most commonly used to treat ADHD and, as such, it tends to cause suppression of the appetite as a side effect, that's why such medications are also often used to aid in weight loss. However, if he's not eating normal, healthy portions and is suffering severe weight loss, then his doctor should be contacted.

My spouse takes 10 mg twice daily of d-amphetamine salt combo and I take 30 mg Dextroamphetamine twice daily. What is the difference? ## As reported by the NIH, the one your spouse is taking contains mixed amphetamine salts, it is a generic for Adderall, so what you listed actually means that it contains Dextroamphetamine and Amphetamine. The one you take just contains Dextroamphetamine, it's a generic for Dexedrine. They are both used to treat the same conditions, but what works for one person may not always work for another, so there are usually several choices your doctor can prescribe in any given therapeutic category. I've been taking this new med DEXTROAMP-AMPHET ER 20MG. Because of fatigue and foggy feeling due to pain meds for chronic pain plus I take meds for depression and bad anxiety. I feel the dextroamp-amphet ER 20mg working a little but it still doesn't quit take the tired foggy feeling away and it seems to not last all day. Should I ask to up the dose or ask for instant release so it works better? The pain meds I take are oxy 10 mg 3 times daily hydro codon 10 325 2 times daily and for my depression sequel ER 200 mg Zoloft 100 mg and lorazepam 1mg 3 times daily. What due u think I should due. Is there a diiference between amphetamine salts and amphitamine ## I am not quite certain what you're asking? Amphetamine salts usually refers to mixed salts, such as the active ingredients in Adderall, which are Amphetamines and Dextroamphetamines. Amphetamine itself though is a pretty general term that is used to refer to almost any of them and its relatives.

Hello! I have a question regarding Adderall and generic brands and the dosage. I was taking Amphetamine/Dextroamphetamine 20 MG once a day. And then it was changed to Amphetamine10MG/Dextroamphetamine 10 MG twice a day. I know that the first one is amphetamine salts based, but I'm not sure about the second one. I obtained these and when I opened the capsule, it was powdery like ....similar to sawdust with slight orange and white coloration, not the beads like I expected. My doctor prescribed this to me for my ADHD. The prescription read Dextroamphetamine, 10 mg Tab. Before I got pregnant I used to take D-Amphetamine Salt Combo 20mg's which really helped with my symptoms. My doctor acted weird saying he doesn't like to prescribe the D-Amphetamine anymore because it's an upper and a downer. Made absolutely no sense to me. It is both dextroamphetamine and amphetamine combined. Hi: I've been prescribed Adderall 20mg IR (generic amphetamine salts, 2x daily) and I found I was just dripping sweat in any type of heat or even at 40 deg after some exertion. My doctor switched me to dextroamphetamine (again, generic, 10 mg, 2x daily), and there is no improvement. The new drug is not as effective as the Adderall. My doctor is not that familiar with this class of drugs, but my pharmacist specialized in mental health drugs and suggested that an ER or XR version might work better.
