Deloden
2 Topics FoundM 2 ## THIS SHOT WAS GIVEN TO ME IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM FOR MY KIDNEY STONES. THEY ARE TOO BIG TO PASS AND I CANNOT AFFORD SURGERY, I AM AFRAID THE PAIN WILL COME BACK. ## Wow, I am very sorry to hear that. Could you possibly scrape up money for a doctor's visit? That is really the only way to get treatment for the stones and pain. Does anyone else have any ideas to help this person?
2 REPLIES Filed under Urinary SystemMy Son was given Deloden when he was in hospital for gallbladder. He became belligerent, had hallcinattions and was hard to deal with. Could this be a allergic reaction with his other pain meds of just a side effect of the drug? ## Hello, Maggie! How are you and your son? The actual name of the medication is Dilaudid, it contains the active ingredient Hydromorphone, it is a very potent narcotic and can sometimes cause those types of side effects in some people that take it. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?
