hi, my doctor prescribed hydroxyzine 25 mg for sleeping. I stopped taking them for more than 4 months, now I have trouble sleeping and I was wondering if It would be dangerous to start takeing them again? ## Hi ducky, Sorry to hear about your troubles with sleep. In my honest opinion, it's probably not dangerous to start taking something that you were recently prescribed 4 months ago, if you're using it for the same indications as before. However, it would still be wise to discuss this with your doctor first if you have any concerns pertaining to the dosing, potential side effects, and other prescribing information. From what I could gather, Hydroxyzine is an antihistamine most commonly used to treat allergies, anxiety, and motion sickness. But it also has what appears to be an ...

I was on prozac for two years -- a gradual increase from 0 to 60mg. At first it worked and then it seemed to stop working (for depression). I started to become more depressed than I was before (loss of appetite, sleeping more, no motivation etc.) and my doctor decided to switch me from Prozac to Effexor saying that the transition would be fine. I went from taking 60mg of prozac one day to the next taking 225mg of Effexor. The result was not good. For the next couple days I had extremely blurred vision/ I couldn't go outside because the sun hurt my eyes. It was hard for me to go from lying down to standing up and four days after starting the 225mg I had a seizure in the shower. Despite this, my doctor insisted that this was because I wasn't eating/hydrating properly and sleeping ...

Really wanted to know if I can take advil pm.for my head ach and help sleeping, but im on 8mg sub.a day and 10mg flexeril??? ## From what I've read, apparently there are dangerous drug interactions listed between the Buprenorphine in Suboxone and the Cyclobenzaprine in Flexeril. I'm not sure if you were already aware of this, but the interaction states that using these two central nervous system (CNS) depressants together may increase your risk of a Buprenorphine overdose, life-threatening respiratory depression, coma, and even death. Having said that, extreme caution on proper dosing should be advised by your doctor if he/she hasn't already mentioned this to you. Regarding Advil PM, the diphenhydramine in this medication also interacts with the Buprenorphine in Suboxone. Not...

Having trouble sleeping at night and was wondering if propranolol would help as they slow your heart beat? ## No, it is not safe to try to use them to induce sleep. I've been taking Fedac daily to fall asleep as I have difficulties sleeping. I have been taking it for months. Should I be worried for any side effects? ## Hello, Arpeggi! How are you? Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly including nausea, dizziness and headache. It's amazing that it helps you sleep as it usually tends to cause insomnia in most people. Is excessive sleeping a withdrawal from norco 750? If someone took them for two weeks, then took 8 in one day? ## Hello, Lucy! How are you? No, that is most likely due to an overdose. That is far too many to take in one day. Especially if they are the old ones that contained that much Acetaminophen, taking 8 of them could result in a toxic overdose and this person needs to seek medical attention. Any amounts of Acetaminophen over 3,000 mgs a day can be toxic and very dangerous, it could cause fatal liver failure. The FDA lists this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. How is the person in question doing?

So i’m just wondering if i’m able to take 3 month expired buspar? I haven’t been sleeping again due to my anxiety spiking up super bad at night causing me to have panic attacks in my sleep.. i haven’t been able to go to the doctor and they can’t fit me in until next month but I found my old Prescription that has the date to discard as 2/4/22. Will they still help me sleep?? ## Most medications that have been expired for a short time are still ok to take. Few, if any develop any kind of dangerous issue. Typically, the med begins to lose efficacy. I’m not a doc, or a pharmacist, and I would suggest you call a pharmacist and run this situation by them. ## What Beth stated is correct, this Buspar does not become dangerous, once expired, but it may begin t...

Taking Suboxone with other drugs that make you sleepy or slow your breathing can cause dangerous or life-threatening side effects. Ask your doctor before taking Suboxone with a sleeping pill, narcotic pain medicine, muscle relaxer, or medicine for anxiety, depression, or seizures ## @Diane, Just wanted to validate that Eddy's advice is spot on and in alignment with what I'm finding on drug interaction checkers. Umm.edu specifically mentions that there's a "high interaction potential" between these two drugs, whereas using the two together may increased your risk for certain side e...

I have poorly controled diabetes with a sleeping disorder and I take two 50mg of amitriptyline. What can I do to help with my heart beating at an alarming rate of 130 to 138 beats per minute Without lowering my intake of the amitriptyline, for it is helpping with my sleeping disorder (because sleeping pills dont work alone) and with my neuropathy pain (nerve damage) in my feet, legs and hands. ## Amitriptyline can increase your blood sugar. Please get it under control. It will slow the heart rate, make you feel better and have less nerve pain. Diabetes and Amitriptyline are not the best of friends.
