I was on Topamax years ago under a doctor that is no longer practicing. I lost a great amount of weight. I am wanting to get back on it but don't know of a doctor that prescribes it for weight loss in the Dallas area. Does anybody know one? ## Hello, Stephanie! How are you? Any doctor can prescribe it, there aren't any special "Topamax doctors" that you have to see. Do you currently have a PCP that you see regularly? If so, you could discuss it with them to see if they will prescribe it, or refer you to someone that will help. Topamax is classified by the FDA as being an antiseizure medication that is also approved to prevent migraines. It wasn't originally intended to be used for weight loss, that turned out to be an unexpected side effect that's been of great b...

Looking for a Doctor in the Dallas Texas area that will give Xanax? Just moved here and am looking for a new Doctor. If someone knows of one please let me know. Appreciate it. ## Hi BB! Sometimes PCP doctors r reluctant 2 prescribe Benzodiazopines. But, there r some who will. I'm on klonopin and my Dr. wouldn't prescribe them 2 me. So, sometimes u may have 2 go and see a psychologist. Good Luck! ## Doctor Michael Tran, (214)-346-9999/Garland TX, Beltline @ Coit

I've been dealing with severe anxiety and can't function on my daily activities. Feeling really nervous and scared for no reason and sometimes I feel shortness of breath. What's really bad is I can't sleep well at night, so I'm looking for a doctor to prescribe something to treat my anxiety and help me relax. I'm located near Dallas, TX. ## I can't speak to a Doctor for you or tell you they would prescribe anything. You have to present yourself in person and establish a Doctor Patient relationship. If things get really bad try the ER ## Eddy is correct. Your best bet is to see a new doctor, but not ask for any specific medications, because they might view that as being drug seeking. Xanax is a controlled substance that carries the risk of being habit forming,...

How are you? I'm very sorry that you're in pain. Due to the new regulations and requests made by the DEA, in order to have pain medications prescribed, you'll need to see a pain management specialist. A general practice physician won't be able to prescribe them for you. Do you currently have a PCP that you see regularly that might be able to refer you to someone? If so, that might be the quickest and easiest way to find the help you need. Can an...

I need a doctor who will continue my current meds. Methadone and oxycodone 15mg in the Dallas Salem Oregon area. ## I need a doctor in Salem or Dallas ore gon that will continue prescribing me methadone and oxycodone. ## Hi Tanja, Have you tried asking your current doctor for a referral? I may not have a doctor I can refer you to, but I can provide you with a couple links that may be of service to you in locating pain management doctors within your general area. All you have to do is input your city or zip code for narrowed results: {link removed because site no longer exists} You can give this other page a try too if you come up with different results for some reason or another: wellness.com/find/pain%20management%20specialist Many of the results you find (in one or both of the links a...

I'm in Dallas Texas, looking for a doctor who will prescribe Vicodin. I spent money on several visits just to be told they don't write for it. Help I only have a few pills left. Got any other suggestions? ## Hello, Karen! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. However, if you look at the FDA website, you'll see that all medications containing Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen were changed to schedule 2 back in October, so you'll need to see a pain management specialist, if you require it on a long-term ongoing basis. General practice doctors won't write for it. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Additionally, ...

I had a serious car accident a few years back. The hospital put me on methadone. I'm having to go to a clinic daily and most everyone there takes methadone for addiction issues. I really would live to see a private doctor that can help with my pain med and other physical issues due to the car accident I had in Houston. I'm back home in Dallas Tx. Please help if you have some info. Thanks! ## Hello, Robin! How are you? Unfortunately, with the clinic in your records, no regular doctor is going to be able to prescribe it for you. I know you weren't going for an addiction issue, but that's basically what it looks like and it's illegal for a regular doctor to treat for that. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effec...

Looking for a doctor who Prescribes soma in DFW area, preferably Garland or Plano or Richardson. I’ve been on soma for eight years through my PCP but unfortunately the practice he belongs to has closed down. I went to pain management doctor today and the charges are $500 a visit and does not prescribe some. I can’t take any other muscle relaxers. ## I really feel Texas is limiting the rights of their citizens, and Abbott doesn't care. Trying to set the law of the land with that Abortion Pill, and now wont even let doctors prescribe Soma. With all the horrible murders in the DFW area, and all the recent murders in the state, have you thought of moving to a new place like Arizona, or California? I have yet to have a doctor say no out here ## My PCP had no issues prescribin...

I have a file of damage done to me that requires strong meds, but because they are internal and I look normal on the outside I have a hard time getting the meds I need. Does anyone know a liberal Dr. in the Dallas area. I have records. Thanks JR ## The problem likely doesn't have anything to do with the fact that they can't see the damage, because there are always medical tests that can prove it, as well as your medical history. The problem probably stems from the fact that they have to be extremely careful about prescribing liberally, because all such prescriptions are monitored by the government and they have to be able to account for each one and their reasons for prescribing. Have you considered just going with a pain management doctor, or clinic? That is usually the best be...

Looking for a physician that can prescribe methadone for pain ## Looking for a physician in Dallas or Ft Worth that will prescribe vicodin to a patient with severe herniations throughout the spinal cord. ## I'm sorry, but there is no listing of doctors according to what they will or will not prescribe that I can refer to for you. You also can't ask a doctor for a specific medication, because they will view that as drug seeking behavior. If you require one or more of these narcotics on a long-term ongoing basis for the treatment of chronic pain, you'll need to see a pain management specialist. Do you currently have a PCP that could refer you to someone? That would most likely be the easiest way of getting the help you need. Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area? ## ...

Who will prescribe me Percocet in Dallas Texas with no problem? Just moved from Spain playing ball and I don't know anybody here. Thanks for the help! ## Hello, Tiger2003! How are you? I'm sorry, but it's just not that easy to get in the U.S. anymore, due to ever increasing rates of over prescribing and improper prescribing, as well as how commonly such medications are abused. If you require such a medication on a long-term, ongoing basis for treating pain, then you'll need to see a pain management specialist. Have you found yourself a PCP, yet? Having one to refer you to a specialist will be the quickest and easiest way to get the help you need. ## Im gods and yourself? I need a dr in the dallas/ ft worth area that will prescribe methadone I tried Suboxone for 5 years no luck. Methadone has worked but I'm working as a CPA for a firm and the clinics are so difficult these days. Any help would be appreciative. Also if you didnt get it was for opiate treatment. ## HI, Ryan! Sorry about the problems that you're having. However, a general practitioner isn't allowed to prescribe Methadone for addiction. Under the current laws, it can only be administered for that in a clinical setting by those that are specially trained in its use for such. Learn more Methadone details here. I wish I had better news for you, but the laws leave no leeway for this. Why didn't the Suboxone work for you? ## There has to be a dr or better "clinical" Experi...
