Any advice as I am a new user thank you. ## Hello, Jelly! How are you? Daigatran is used to prevent blood clotting, so you need to be careful about anything that may cause bleeding, such as falling or cutting yourself. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and easy bruising. Are there any other questions or concerns?

Dabrafenib, sold under the brand name Tafinlar & Rafinlar[1] ( both by Novartis) among others, is a medication for the treatment of cancers associated with a mutated version of the gene BRAF. Dabrafenib acts as an inhibitor of the associated enzyme B-Raf, which plays a role in the regulation of cell growth. Dabrafenib has clinical activity with a manageable safety profile in clinical trials of phase 1 and 2 in patients with BRAF (V600)-mutated metastatic melanoma.[...

is there a difference in metforim hcl and dab zyd ## Hello, Bob! How are you? No, from what you've listed, one just includes the fact that it's a tablet manufactured by Zydus Pharmaceuticals, but the medication is the same. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, flatulence, stomach pain and hypoglycemia. Is there anything else I can help with?

Dabigatran, sold under the brand name Pradaxa among others, is an anticoagulant used to treat and prevent blood clots and to prevent stroke in people with atrial fibrillation.[3][4] Specifically it is used to prevent blood clots following hip or knee replacement and in those with a history of prior clots.[3] It is used as an alternative to warfarin and does not require monitoring by blood tests.[3] It is taken by mouth.[3...

I currently take Warfarin for atrial fib but I am wary of it because I think my father died of a cerebral hemorrhage. Is Dabigatran a better choice? ## They are both anticoagulants, so one isn't necessarily safer than any other, they both can cause the same side effects and carry the same risks. There is really no way to tell, ahead of time, how safe any medication is going to be for anyone. If you feel more comfortable using one, rather than the other, then by all means discuss it with your doctor. Are there any questions or comments?

been thinking of taking pradaxa for stroke prevention...the say it can reduce the stroke problem by 35%...and advice ## Has your doctor advised you to take it? Like any medication, there are risks associated with its use, so it should only be used if the possible benefits to you outweigh the risks. It contains the active ingredient Dabigatran, which is an anticoagulant, so that's how it can help prevent a stroke. However, the side effects can include: nausea, dizziness, easier bruising and increase risk of bleeding. You can learn more about it here:

I've been on methadone liquid now for roughly 3 years, though 60 is the highest ive ever taken, 10 being lowest and it amazes me how strong and powerful this stuff is. I swear i dropped down to 20 and was ready to switch over to subutex, but right at the last minute i bottled it despite my doctor really saying do it, best move you will ever make, but my reasons were i really was so depressed, sweating profoundly, no sleep. Also was coming off a 20 yr valium addiction take away a few yrs in detoxes and rehabs. I'm a londoner uk by the way, nice too meet ya. All good serious website help me. Anyway well instead of swapping over to subs i put my methadone up to 35 then 40 and stopped. Also still dabble with valium and klonopin once a week, stupid really. I gotta gdt off this methad...

Wanted to let you know that Jublia worked. I used a dab of vinegar first, and then put the Jublia on my fingernail. It was amazing for me. I had the fungus for over 3 years. Everyone, even my dermatologist, told me it probably wouldn't work. I used it for the 48 weeks religiously every night. I'm still using it to make sure the nail is healed. I only used one bottle. Just 'wetted' the nail each night. ## I am very glad that it worked for you, that's amazing. I have a friend who has tried everything, for many years, with no luck. Each time something new becomes available, her doctor prescribes it for her, but so far, she's only wasted her money and time. I've also read some complaints online about people running out too fast, it's been said that the bottle...

why will insurance plans not pay for this when dr says it is important nto take and you cant afford it ## Pradaxa (dabigatran) is used to prevent stroke and blood clots in patients with atrial fibrillation. Doctor's may say that it is an important medication to take; but this depends on whether or not you have a condition which requires this type of medication. If you do, I would suggest looking into other prescription drugs with similar indications. Insurance companies may accept one brand of this med over another. Ideally, you'd have to talk to your insurance company to find out specifically why they wouldn't cover this (as there could be many reasons), but I've seen insurance companies that only cover the cost of certain brand names and don't cover the cost of gen...

Has anyone heard of Pradaxa being used for blood clot patients who don't have atrial fibrillation? Primarily to achieve the benefits of no frequent blood testing? ## Pradaxa contains the active ingredient Dabigatran, which is just another oral anticoagulant. Learn more Pradaxa details here. You can even look at the information at the link I provided and it lists it as sometimes being used as an alternative to Warfarin, since it doesn't require the frequent tests. There are several others under investigation for this use, as well. Are there any other questions or comments?

I am taking pradaxa and want to change to a one dose a day drug. I have afib and want to make sure it is safe. I have only been on pradaxa for about 4-5 months. ## Hi Don, Generally, determining the safety of a drug is something your doctor should do based on your medical records and other personal health factors. But as far as any interactions go, I would suggest waiting till the Pradaxa is out of your system before starting up with Xarelto. Reason being is that there are potentially unsafe interactions between these two drugs. Quoted below are the precautions you should be aware of: "Talk to your doctor before using Pradaxa (dabigatran) together with Xarelto (rivaroxaban). Combining these medications can increase the risk of serious or life-threatening bleeding complications. If t...

My mother is 85 years old and her family doctor is suggesting she switch to this drug from Warfin. Are hers chances of a stroke higher or recovering from a stroke with this drug. She no longer drives so getting her INR checked once a month sometimes can be a challenge. Can anyone tell me how this drug is working for them. ## I haven't used the medication, but I can provide you with some more information on it. Pradaxa contains the active ingredient Dabigatran and, when studied were done that compared its efficacy and safety risks to that of Warfarin, it was found to be very comparable and was not shown to increase the risk of bleeding or other problems. You can learn more about it here: It's also been shown to just as effective at preventing clotting, but also to keep the INR mu...

Can the antibotic cefadroxil be used to treat a tooth abcess. ## Cefadroxil can in fact be used for dental infections; although amoxicillin and metronidazole are generally used as first line of treatment. Learn More: Cefadroxil Details If you're experiencing a lot of pain, I would also try dabbing the area with Vanilla Extract and/or clove essential oil. Both options tend to have a numbing effecting to where you can't feel the pain while it kills the infection. I hope this helps!

I have been taking Fragmin injections for 1 yr. now and i think they are causing my leg and joint pains. I'm going to go on Pradaxa and am deathly afraid of bleeding. is there anyone out there who has had good results with Pradaxa? ## Hello, Karen! I hope you are doing well. There are many people that have had good results with it. The risks are really about the same for both the Pradaxa and Fragmin, so there is really no need for your fears to increase. What has your doctor said about the issue? There are many people that suffer joint pains from these types of drugs. ## My mother was diagnosed with small-cell lung carcinoma.
